Teresa and her dogs were so welcoming it was like coming home every night. This was our base camp for our trips in the vicinity. We saw lots and it was always wonderful to come back "home". Teresa and her crew are such hard workers and it shows, in the quality of the service. There will be no place better...

From the outside, this place doesn't look like much. The owner at front desk was amazing. She made a point every day to make sure we had everything we needed. For the 1st time, with online bookings, my requested extra pillows was in our room when we arrived. The owner greeted us every morning as we left, making sure our...

From the warm, pleasant welcome from Teresa and her Great Danes to the clean comfortable rooms, you'll enjoy your time at the Tomahawk Lodge. Property was perfect for our team of five riders out for a week long motorcycle trip through SW CO. I can't say enough about how accommodating and helpful Teresa was during our short stay. Quick check-in,...

We stayed 6 days at the Tomahawk. It is an older motel but very clean and quiet even though it is on a busy road. The rooms are insulated very well.Teresa made us fell like we were with family. She works harder than anyone I have ever known. She always had a big smile on her face and was eager to help with any...

We stayed at the Tomahawk for 4 nights, using it as a base camp for touring around SW Colorado. The room was clean, comfortable, and affordable. My only regret is I didn't get the lady's name at the front desk. From the day we arrived until this morning when we left she made us feel as welcome as family. The...

We took Trip Advisors advice and stayed here. Tomahawk Lodge is in a busy area of Cortez, by road construction and on the main road, so it was kind of noisy, esp when trucks drove by. The hotel itself is out of the 1970's - the pictures, the carpet, the decorating style - even the Coke machine! This will appeal...

At times I love checking into a classic motel to take me back to earlier times when traveling with my parents across America. I enjoyed the friendliness of the cute woman at check inn, the novelty of the owners beautiful Great Danes dogs, and the spotless well maintained updated rooms. If you want a reasonable cost room with a little...

Stayed here one night and that was one too many! Room not did have any amenities - no hairdryer, no shampoo, clock, extra pillows, no breakfast so yes,you save the room, but breakfast costs $10 and you cant even make a coffee. Rooms too well worn to be attrractive. Give it a miss and move to Holiday Inn express?

The rooms were extremely clean. The bathroom looked as if it had been recently renovated. The showere curtain still had the creases from the pacakage it came in! The owner was very friendly, and you can see the pride she takes in running a well run business. A bit of advice: Google Maps show the wrong location. It is NOT...

This is an old motel that has been somewhat renovated, but needs a good deal more work to be up-to-date. It is very clean, but the mattresses could certainly be better as could the linens. It's cheap enough - around $70 a night and they allow dogs, but I'd pick a Holiday Inn Express next time we're in the area.
