I wish there was a rating of ZEROS but there's not. This is my 3rd time staying here. And not one time did I feel welcome. This time was by far the worst. While looking for a new home we spent several weeks in motel rooms. At the cozy We moved into a different room after the first night. In the 2nd room the a/c unit wasn't working & it was a terribly hot day. We went to the office & asked if we could move into a different room with an a/c that works. They wouldn't let us. We were told it was our fault the a/c wasn't working. In the pool area we got yelled at for things that has happened in the past & disrespected for no reason. There were 5 of us in a teeny tiny room with one queen bed so the 3rd day we decided to get a room with 2 beds. We moved all our belongings to the new room. Just like I do every time I leave a room, I took the trash out, stripped the bed, and piled up all the dirty linens. Yes there were crumbs on the floor from having 3 kids with us. We were just talking about paying a weekly rate until we got into a home then the rude woman came to our new room yelling at me in front of people for disrespecting & trashing her room & how they were going to have to steam clean that entire room now cuz we smashed food into the carpet. I was so humiliated. I watched as they dug thru the trash I bagged up and took out, and watched as the room got cleaned. Once the maid was done vacuuming i walked up to see if it was bad and it looked just like it did when we checked into the room. These people made this a miserable stay and a horrible experience. If you wanted treated respectfully & to feel welcomed I definitely recommend not staying here. I will not be returning. The only decent one working here was the son. He was nice and gave us no trouble. Like others said in their review....I'm sure these asinine people will not take accountability or responsibility for the way they treated us. My grandparents owned this motel when I was a young girl. They NEVER would have treated guests the way these people treated us.

I had to cancel my reservation and sent an email to their on-line address so stating. But they seem to not read emails as they charged me anyway. Called and they were not somewhat rude about it. Saying it was my fault that they didn't read the email.

Stayed here for one night before visiting Mesa Verde National Park, about ten miles east of Cortez. Although the property is old and clearly of fifties to sixties-era vintage, the rooms are sufficiently updated, probably within the past ten years or so. My only complaint, is that the supposedly smoke-free room smelled like a past guest had chain smoked in there. Also, their free breakfast is nothing to write home about - barebones offering a tiny selection of cold breakfast items (cereal, bagels and pastries).

If I could give NO STARS I would. This place is not as it is described online. DO NOT STAY unless you like to be yelled at by the owners when you complain about the NON working A./C unit or the TV not working. The rooms also have a weird smell. The "so called " HOT TUB is a 2 person one that you would have in your backyard and it was enclosed in a small room with way to much chlorine you couldn't breathe. The very dirty swimming pool had so much dirt and grime on the sides that people who dared to get in the water had scratched words in the grime.. It was DISGUSTING. They gave us a different room but we didn't stay the night we left and went to a different hotel. Yes we were out of the money but SAFETY FIRST. I went outside to get something out of my car and there were 2 guys walking around my car looking inside it. There were 2 or 3 other people outside smoking and drinking with dogs running around. Looks like a hotel for weekly drug people to stay. STAY AWAY .

Wasn't planning on staying at a motel. Trying to make it home quickly landed us here. Was nervous but it was clean. People were pleasant to work with. Different atmosphere than what I am used too. Town had a great farmers market.
