We visited the Heritance Tea Factory in September 2016 for 1 night during our tour of Sri Lanka whilst on Honeymoon. We were greeted with friendly staff and a sample of tea. The Factory is brilliant and they have kept it very traditional. Old fashioned lifts etc which added to its charm. We were shown to our room which was...

Ingenious transformation of a former tea factory to quality hotel, taking you back in time to imperial british presence in the indian sub continent. Best meal experience on board a train carriage with some interesting travelling experience

After a mediocre stay in Kandy this hotel blew our mind. We felt like we had stepped back in time. The service was outstanding and attentive from the moment we walked through the door. The room itself was traditional and comfortable. We were given strawberries and cream as a welcome treat in the room. Breakfast was fantastic and we did...

The former tea plantation was renovated at a hotel in 1992 without changing the outside of the building. The hotel preserved the "old world charm", with old-fashioned rooms with great views over the tea plantations. Staff is extremely friendly and the place has a very peaceful and tranquil aura. Sitting outside on the patio, sipping a cup of Ceylon tea...

We stayed at the Tea Factory as part of our tour of Sri Lanka. The conversion from a factory to a hotel has been carried out with a great deal of thought and many of the original parts have been kept and incorporated into the fabric of the hotel. The reception desk for example is made of bits of machinery....

Arrival up a long windy road is a little painful but totally worth it. Check in was lovely-take the bits they offer you to chew and the tea-yummy. The place itself, an old tea factory, is rather impressive and lots of interesting info scattered about the hotel. Whilst the room was a little small compared to others we'd stayed at...

For it's age, the hotel is well maintained. The humps on the way should be removed as it's bit difficult for a comfortable drive to the hotel. Service is slow. Overall well kept place, and best Cheese Toast I had so far in my life. Garden is well kept.

The stay in this hotel was really fantastic. In an old tea factory were the machinary is still visible. We stayed with our 3 children for two nights. People are very friendly And professional. Because it was new year they organized a full morning of games for the children and for adults to celebrate. We enjoyed that very much. The...

Had a most magnificent two night stay at this unique and historic hotel set in in the high country of Nuwara Eliya. From a very warm welcome to the beautifully appointed rooms ( recommend the Executive Floor) the experience was exquisite. The decor reflects the golden age of the British Colonial tea making era. The restaurant offers high class fare...
