Our favourite holiday spot in the hills. Lovely setting, old-world, quiet, peaceful and one could sit in the garden with a book, or laze away on a good day, sipping a cup of Ceylon tea.. Excellent staff, polite and good food. We just love being here to get away from the heat and noise of Colombo. Just a 5 minute...

Set in the hills of Nuwaraeliya, this exquisite club stands out in all its glory! Words are not enough to describe this place and I haven't even started exaggerating. A picturesque setting, warm and friendly hotel staff, cozy rooms, soul-stirring tea, and a perennial romantic weather.. what more does one need on a holiday! The Hill club easily is one...

A great place to have a high tea. Had china with the word Ceylon on it. Bought a cruet set in the shop with Ceylon on it. The tea was lovely, too much to eat. Cosy seating and colonial setting. Could have been in the UK.

My travel buddy and I stayed only one night at the Hill Club yet it remains one of our favorite memories. The people there could not have been more friendly. You get what you give as they say. It's an old men's club, from the glory years gone by and apparently still has some 400 members scattered around the country...

Nice location and view, however this hotel hasn't been renovated in ages. The interior is shabby, smells mildew and mold. They require a jacket and a tie to eat in the main restaurant otherwise you end up eating alone in a confined dining room. The quantity of the food is small and the quality poor. Avoid the Seafood Thermidor. In...

I had stayed in this hotel with my wife and son for one night on Oct 31'16 The hotel is nicely set in the laps of mountain with well maintained garden etc. The building gives an impression of a colonial bunglow. However to follow colonial rules now is bit difficult for holiday/vaction travellers. You need to wear a jacket and...

Had a lovely stay. It is old and very colonial and this is what gives it its charm. The staff couldn't have been more helpful and when they turned down the bed at night they added a hot water bottle. Bliss. 😊

We didn't stay at The Hill Club but stopped by for a cup of tea after a delicious dinner at The Grand Indian. It truly felt like stepping back in time to Sri Lanka's colonial past. We were two couples and the men had to borrow suit jackets and ties in order to be able to go to the main...
