The Ceybank Rest is a beautiful colonial house with a very nice garden. That was my first impression when I arrived. But inside, the building is not well maintained and the rooms are average. Bathrooms are clean but very simple. It is definitely too expensive for the service you get!

Our family visited N'Eliya and it was sudden visit without much planning. We went to ceybank after making a call and luckily they had a vacant room for us to stay with hot-water, heater and tea/coffer making facility. It is just in-front of the lake and very conveniently located. As I learnt from the hotel staff this property has been...

This hotel has a beautiful exterior and looks like Grand Hotel from the outside. It has a beautiful garden and that's the best part about the hotel. It wAssupposed to be the governor's house. I was charmed by the garden and the entrance but not so taken by the rooms. Though large, the rooms need painting and the toilets, though...

It a cosy place with a little less than 20 rooms. The rooms needs to be refurbished to make the customer stay more pleasant. The hotel architecture itself is lovely. The staffs were accomodating. A good place for a family.

A good and a not-so-costly place. An old building converted to a hotel and the garden is maintained perfectly. However, rooms needs new heaters as the ones they have are old fashioned and takes time to heat.

A group of 17 consisting of my family and friends occupied 6 rooms there for one night. The exterior and the interior of the building including the gardens were well maintained. As for the fairly expensive room charges we expected the overall hospitality to maintain a certain level. The interiors were modest to suit the colonial type building. Could have...

Very good place to stay in Nuwaraeliya. The hotel is in front of race course ground and near to city as well as to some attractive places such as Victoria park, Gregory lake. Food also good and during weekend special buffet meals available. There is a pastry shop also for traveler's convenience

The hotel is a nice building but the rooms are not maintained well. The family room we had was nice but the bathroom was not well maintained. There was no soap holder or place to keep shampoo bottle. Not worth the price.

The garden in front of the jotel has won many April Bloom awards. You can appreciate many different kinds and colours of flowers. The garden is very vast that you can walk up and down and around it and get yourselves warm up. The temperature is cool around 17 degree Centigrade during daytime.

An excellent place to stay for a family with great service and very good food. We had the best opportunity to stay in a colonial building with 5 star service. The property can certainly benefit from some restorative refurbishment and appropriate fittings to toilets and better quality beddings and curtains. However none of that spoiled our stay as the manager...
