Very helpful and friendly staff (they even did our laundry even though officially, it's not in their service package), arranged us a tuk tuk to go to the Pedro Tea Estate, copuous breakfasts (all you can eat pancakes!!), very charming fireplace to spend the rainy evenings, etc. PS: bargaining might be useful.

We absolutely loved our two day stay at the Travene. A short walk from town, this is an old pretty colonial villa run by the warmest host, Nisa and her family. The rooms were gorgeous - spacious, wood finish with comfortable beds and each with their very own fireplace. Although it was quite cold in the evenings, we were warm...

Nisa, our host, was very warm and welcoming. She made our stay there memorable. We had a room on the front, with a fire place, which was very pleasant in the evening (the place turns cold after sunset). The food was good and it was nice to share our table with other guests. Overall very good value for money; for...

Had a very pleasant stay here - it is a family run hotel and we had lovely, helpful service. The house is colonial style so is quite old and has nice gardens with good views. Also easy walking distance/ quick tuktuk from town. The room was spacious but not luxurious. Wifi was not very good. The dinner and breakfast we...

The house is nice, good location. The staff and owners are kind. The best is the fire place in the room. The worst things are: is it a bit noisy because people wakes up very early and there are families with kids and expensive. And the wifi doesn't work properly. They are building a new hotel just next the Trevene...

We enjoyed our 2 nights here and were really impressed with the super friendly service. Our room was probably the smallest and was ok, but the others looked much nicer and larger. It's a good location and the garden and home are lovely.

Long walk to any of the local attractions. Once there, the rooms are very basic and in need of renovation / maintenance. The common areas appeared much nicer and there's a lovely garden outside. There was no hot water in my room. This is a budget hostel. After experiencing the room, I didn't try any food there as I just wanted...

The hotel was GREAT eventhough the room was tiny (but very cheap!!!). Try to eat there - the Food was fantastic and there are not that many Options in town. The staff did help us a lot with activities and with your preparation for the hiking in horton plains. Just GREAT - thank you for the nice stay.

I spent 2 nights here. My room was in the old part of the building - full of character - high ceiling, wood floors and paneling, even a fireplace. Only drawback was a lot of the rooms in the old part are close to reception and sound carries so it can be quite noisy if reception is busy. On the...
