I stayed three nights in June 2020, just after staying 2 nights at another hotel just a five minute walk away. I loved sooo much about this property, from the garden, to the views, to the gorgeous and well maintained pool. I loved my room (#3) with its gorgeous bathroom (quasi open-air), my own little deck overlooking the rice fields. Clean, no mildew smell, well maintained, good bedding. I really loved this place and will absolutely come back. My friend stayed in another room on site that had its own little adjoining room (yoga room, anyone), plus another cute deck, and she loved it as well. Breakfast is just fine. Service good. Fridge in room with water/drinks. (No kettle/coffee/tea). No hot water (just warm) which made it impossible to actually draw a bath, but otherwise, perfection in this stay.

Sawah Indah is on a long skinny block going back from the road. The restaurant and reception are first then the rooms range back and up the hill with curving paths leading to the rooms. The bungalow rooms are the furthest away from the road.
The gardens are lovely and well maintained.
We had a one bedroom bungalow room and it was great. It was a wooden construction, with a thatch roof. It had two rooms, bedroom and bathroom with the bedroom looking out the covered verandah which was so large, it really counted as a second room, especially as it had a two seater lounge and a couple of armchairs plus a coffee table. It was fully covered so no rain got in. Lovely view across the paddies to the distant mountains. I had asked for a quiet room and we were given one right up the back, away from the other rooms. The other rooms all looked nice, and all seemed to have varying designs and layouts.
Bed was king-sized with mosquito nets and there was a bar fridge and a cupboard for luggage plus some seating.
The bathroom was huge with double sinks, a full-sized concrete bath and two showers, one outdoors.
They actually had a clock on the wall, which was really handy to have.
The pool was nice and cool. only a few loungers right next to it but there was also another level below it with more loungers.
The restaurant was really good - a large range of items, very well presented, tasty and reasonably priced.
The weather was lovely and cool, which was a relief after a few days in Amed.
Things to consider (but very minor and I'd recommend this place):
There's not much to do, there just seems to be the village (standard Bali village with no restaurants or tourist shops) and a collection of accommodations plus one or two tourist shops and massage places. Good excuse to get some reading done.
Massage within Sawah Indah was just OK, nothing special except for the lovely location looking into the garden.
There was some building next door - compared to the photos, this area has become a little more built out but still does have extensive rice paddies so it still has an open feel to it.
In case you wanted it, this property doesn't have a view of Agung. You can see it if you walk back up the hill towards the village.
Quite a few mosquitoes but that's to be expected everywhere in Bali especially near rice paddies.

Sideman is quiet and scenic ; you don't come here for the nightlife or excitement. However that's what we wanted and Sawah Indah delivered. We were just disappointed that when we wanted to extend our booking they were already full and couldn't accommodate us. It's built on a hill so if you are mobility (or night vision) challenged you may want to ask for a room closer to the top. It's a nice place to just relax, catch up on work or reading if that's what you want, go for walks nearby, swim in the pool. We had supper and breakfast at the hotel. My crispy duck was good and the restaurant has nice ambiance. Breakfast has Indo and Western options, not amazing but very adequate. A nice place to stay and I would return (& book for longer ahead of time!)

Luckily my wife and I booked this Resort for 3 nights in the beautiful region of Sidemen. The personal of the Sawah Indah was extraordinary helpful and courteous. We had a bungalow that was located a little hidden on the property with an open bathroom (partial open roof) and a nice sitting area at the entrance of the bungalow.
The breakfast had two options, Balinese or Western type – we always chose the Balinese breakfast of course. It was also possible to get it as a vegetarian version. The restaurant of the Sawah Idah was also very good for dinner, still, alternative Warungs and other restaurants are available within minutes by foot.
A comfortable bed for the night guaranteed a recharge after exciting day trips around this magnificent region of north-east Bali.
Unfortunately, we haven’t had the opportunity to go in the swimming pool, but it looked fantastic in the scenery of the beautiful garden and surrounding rice fields.

We stayed here for two nights in March and this place exceeded our expectations. The staff were welcoming and friendly. The bungalows were huge, comfortable and modern. The pool was great and the views from the hotel were incredible. Overall, we really enjoyed our time here and would definitely recommend it to our family and friends!

One thing to bear in mind is the restaurant in the hotel and restaurants in the village close very early. We arrived in the evening around 8pm and couldn't find any restaurants open. Make sure to bring snacks with you as there are not many shops around!

We booked at short notice for an overnight stay and were delighted. Only one of the small garden bungalows was still available. The room really wasn't big, but it had everything you need: hairdryer, water, mosquito net over the bed. In front of the room we had a very nice covered seating area with beautiful pictures, everything was clean and well-kept. The bathroom was also nice, with an open air above the bathtub. To be on the safe side, we showered in daylight, but there were no problems with mosquitoes that night.
We also liked the à la carte breakfast on the veranda.
The staff are all super friendly, the complex offers cozy corners to sit and lie in.

Spent three nights here and did not want to leave! Stayed in Bungalow 2 which was clean and tidy and had an amazing view. Was worried about no air con before arriving but fans were fine as it cools down each night. Every single staff member was friendly and went above and beyond for me. I went on the two hour rice field trek crossing rivers and wandering through crops and local streets. Also went on a scooter trip through the mountains and saw some amazing views. Had a cooking class which included a morning trip to the local market. All with the amazing staff members of Sawah Indah Villas. Breakfast was great and more than I could eat each morning. The pool is lovely and has amazing views (although is much more built around than main picture). Plenty of little Warungs along the street in close walking distance. Bring all personal items and snacks etc with you as no minimarts etc that I could find. Come to Sidemen. It’s beyond beautiful.

Sawah Indah Villa is such a beautiful place that it conquers you as soon as you set foot in it.

The lush garden in the middle of the rice fields and the swimming pool welcome guests as well as the kindness of the staff.

The room is beautiful and equipped with all the comforts you could wish for.

The restaurant, where we had dinner twice, is on par with the hotel.

Stupendous!

I did the cooking class with Komang and it was such a wonderful experience. We went early to the local market by scooter and saw all of the ingredients that would go into the meal. Komang was so kind and a great chef. The cooking class is held in a beautiful outdoor building with a dinning table to enjoy the meal after.
I learned some great recipes and techniques and can’t wait to make them at home. I absolutely recommend.

Magnificent room with a view of the rice fields. Sublime infinity pool, you enter the water without asking any questions because it is so good.
Very generous breakfast, either typical or a little more American. For my part, I only tested the typical one and it's so good.
Very varied and good quality restaurant. Good cocktails too. Allow around €15 for a cocktail, a main course, a dessert. All the staff take great care. You can go for a walk in the small village without any problem.

I believe they can arrange for a cost otherwise any driver from airport would be more than happy to take you..I would guess it would cost about US$30..? for drop off for vehicle...not per person.
