I spent only 1 night in this hotel as part of a tour, but really enjoyed it. It is a very tranquil location. Sitting on the balcony overlooking the forest, mountains, and rice paddies was very peaceful. Food was pretty good at the onsite restaurant. There is no AC but it is a bit cooler there in the hills so...

My third visit to Meme Surung. Family has split the property with Guru Ratna and although my room No 1 was fine the pick is now the front one to the right facing down the valley. The food used to be amazing but was rather ordinary in the evening although breakfast was a standout especially the eggs and heaps of...

But....its not really a homestay. You stay in cottages. They are clean and simple. For way up in the mountains its a really nice place. The bathrooms are pretty basic...certainly not luxury, Wifi and beer, which could be colder.

This is s friendly place with cute cottages. From the dining area you have a great view of the valley. In the room I liked the fact that the bed had a mosquito net. It can get a bit noisy in the morning but that's the village waking up. Part of the experience. We did a hike to a waterfall...

Despite the name this is not a genuine homestay as we did not meet any family, just staff, and the rooms that visitors stay in are completely separate from what appears to be family accommodation (assuming they actually live on site). Nevertheless the facilities were good for this level of accommodation. We had two separate bedrooms as a family of...

I was really taken with the charm of Meme Surung. Whilst the accommodation I can see is only classed as 2*, it's charm and location exceed this. I stayed here as part of a 2 week tour of travelling in Bali and whilst the area is quiet in terms of things to do, it's a lovely spot to stop off...

Nice restaurant in a small street close to St Roch area. Most of the dishes can be ordered as a starter or main course (with salad and those delish fries). The staff is young, dynamic very friendly and helpful too.

I didn't stay at the homestay, just visited the restaurant and was so impressed, that I went back a few times. The entree of pulled fried chicken with lemongrass is great! Reasonable prices and really lovely staff. Fantastic views of the valley aswell.

I really enjoyed the family home cooked meal and overall I enjoyed my stay. If you are looking for a place that gives you a clean place, friendly staff and food- stay here- I slept like...
