We had visited Amangiri a few months prior to Amankila and loved the experience. We were looking forward to staying at another Aman hotel. Sadly, we did not find the magic that other reviews promised. Rooms are average, strangely small and lack privacy as they are surrounded by stairs used by guests and staff. Grounds are fine, but nothing special,...

We stayed at Amankila for 8 nights in May/June 16. Excellent everything. Can't really fault it It was a reassuringly expensive trip with quality and service to match so all in all, good value Sandra was lovely. Genuinely lovely. I believe she has moved on now to a new hotel opening in SE Asia One thing I really liked was...

From the moment we arrived until the moment we left, we were so well looked after. Our villa was a bit of a hike, 36, but that afforded us a great view. The food was lovely as were the accommodations, but it was the fun things we did from the resort that made our stay very memorable. The morning snorkel...

After staying at Amanusa, we spent the final days of our Bali vacation at Amankila. Like all Aman resorts, the grounds are beautiful, food is excellent, service is top notch, etc. The resort is more modern than Amanusa but the villas could use an update. The black sand beach is secluded with serene views of the ocean. Highly recommend the...

This place was the grand finale of my honeymoon. We were at Amankila for 4 nights in a private suite with ocean view and I loved every single moment of it. When we went in May, the main pool area was never too crowded so we felt like we rented out the whole place! The suites are very Bali-ish and...

Very dated facilities and need some upgrades in rooms such as toilet, AC unit and wifi. The service level is on par with other Aman hotels but the facility is over 20 years old and not been updated. Location is very beautiful/well maintained and secluded from public. About 90 minutes, without traffic, away from the airport and busy part of...

We select this location to "try" one of the 30+ Aman Hotels and to use as the base for diving in Bali. Beside the fact that the diving did not really meet our expectations (not the best time in the year and more hard corals than soft, see not always very clean), the hotel was a retreat where we enjoyed...

We first came to Amankila in 2000. Then again in 2010 so this is our third stay here. We are surprised at how the resort has not changed over these 16 years. Aman has done a wonderful job with maintenance so the resort is as fresh as it was all those years ago. The superb location, the gorgeous architecture and...

When we first walked in I wasnted to be back in the quiet beauty of the Amandari in Ubud, but this feeling soon left me. The pools are magnificent and are heightend by the excellent and discrete pool side service. The daybeds for lying beside the pool are the most comfortable and spacious I have ever seen, with both shaded...

We were taken to our private villa where we could hear the roar of the ocean crashing on the rocks below. The gated villa had a private pool and a beautiful patio filled with every amenity you needed from sunscreen, bug spray to jars of treats like freshly baked cookies! The service is impeccable. We had a personal chef cook...
