We enjoyed our stay at the Mecure, Legian so much. We had 7 nights with breakfast included. Our room was a balcony on L5, we had no trouble with noise. Enjoyed the use of both pools - although had to get in early for a bed on the rooftop pool. Service was amazing throughout our stay, very welcoming & nothing was a problem. We asked for extra pillows, got ice from the bar so could have some cold drinks in our room, they asked us how our room was & when I told them some minor things like sliding door was jamming, within an hour an guy was in our room fixing it. The location is very central - 5min to beach, great shopping near by & plenty of restaurants. Had 2 massages at the hotel was really nice. If you are not happy with anything just tell staff & they will try their best to sort it. We also paid another $50 to have a 6pm check out as we weren’t flying until 9pm that night - best thing we did as meant we could rest during day & shower before we flew & when it’s so warm in Bali this is very much needed. A great stay. We would come back!

After much deliberation, we decided on mecure legian for its rave reviews and good word of mouth. It was the BEST decision ever made! The property was strategically located with easy access to anywhere in Bali and plenty of eateries in the vicinity to suffice even the most fussy taste buds. We were greeted warmly at checked-in by the affable and gregarious Mgr Melisa, who ran through the pertinent points how to make the best of our stay with meaningful suggested iterneries. She epitomises what a great ambassador of Mecure Legian would be, checking on our stay on numerous occasions to ensure we were comfortable and that we were satisfied with the amenities n facilities in the hotel. My work requires me to fly to different continents week in n out and staying at different hotels and accommodations across the globe, I hastened to mention Melisa's superior customer centric traits were top-notched, nothing was too much to asked which we did couple of times during our stay and were prompted actioned and rectified. The only grouse is the dimly lited room( just my opinion) due to the warm lightings in the room to create a relax and romantic mood and as mentioned were promptly actioned with a change of light bulbs to white to better illuminate the room. Breakfast was scrumptious with plenty of choices both local n western. Staffs were prompt to clear used plates and personable at every touch-point, efficient without being intrusive. Both the pools located on the top and ground floor well maintained. The hotel restaurant serves great BBQ ( Fri night) with Live band serenading to enhance your dining experience. Mecure Legian is DEFINITELY the place to stay in Bali and for me, it gives compelling reasons why I should NOT look anywhere else .....

From the moment we checked in we were impressed. The location is perfect. A convenience store with ice cold Bintang and money changer right across the road. The Security station is right next to the ATM where you can withdraw $300 Aussie dollars. The staff are lovely and the breakfast each day is amazing. We had both lunches and dinners at the Hotel and every meal was faultless. We had a plunge pool room, the room was very spacious and immaculately clean. The water was a great temperature and very clean. The only downfall was when I turned the aircon off at night we found the room seemed quite damp the next morning. The hour massage was a pleasant surprise after a long day of travelling. We didn’t spend much time in the 2 outdoor pools but friends did and said the temp was great but it was hard to get a chair poolside. Will definitely be staying again.

We stayed at the Mercure Bali Legian mid January 2020 and were very disappointed. Based on the star rating and online photos we were expecting a lovely resort, but it's not really a resort it's just a run down budget hotel to be honest. More 3 star in my opinion.

The room towels grey and need urgent replacing, the pool towels were so old and also need replacing!. The sheets and pillow cases have a sweat smell like, yuck!, also need urgent replacing. Most staff did not know how to speak English. Upon arrival at 5pm the rooms were not ready. Could hear people vomiting from our room which was very disturbing.

The top deck pool had broken tiles and requires a renovation, the deck was faded to old timber; and the pool views are really bad! At least plant some trees to cover the surrounding buildings. I was grossed out and had to leave the deck area, I don't even think they cleaned the pools.

There were no sheets to sleep with only doonas had to ask for sheets then they took them away during room service, not sure why???? so I had to request them again.

The only pros about the Mercure Legian is the bread at breakfast, omelettes, the tree with the squirrel running up and down it eating the offetry (was cute), the location, daily room service, the safe and the air conditioner. The hotel in general is poor and needs renovating, I would consider booking another hotel or a RESORT with a bigger pool and deck area as it gives you a much better experience of Bali.

Wanted to try somewhere new, so we gave Mercure Legian a go.. BIG MISTAKE! Small rooms, poor service, small pool.. family booked a cruise from the hotel, paid over $100AUD pp was not age appropriate for older people however was not told! Was expected to swim from the boat to the shore or step on dangerous rocks.. that’s just the beginning... do yourself a favour and avoid.

My friend and I had an unforgettable 3 days 2 nights staycation at Mercure Legian last month. I think we stayed in the Deluxe Room with a Plunge Pool.

The first day we got there we had their signature Bali massage treatment, we were being introduced to homemade products made in Bali and where the ingredients came from.

At night we were really looking forward to having Friday BBQ Theme, however, due to the early pandemic situation, they had to cancel the BBQ dinner and we had our dinner at their Pole Restaurant instead.

Everyone (the staff) has been very sweet and helpful to accommodate our special needs. Not forgot to mention that my friend is a strict vegan and it was incredible how they were very careful in preparing the dishes for her.

On our last day, experienced our first Bali floating breakfast while it was surely an interesting experience as a first-timer, the food and beverage manager was allowing us to request more fruit plate, soy milk, etc

I totally recommend this place as a family or couple or simply if you want to be in Seminyak / Legian area.

Thank you so much for the pleasant stay Mercure Legian!

my daughter booked this as a staff member , she doesnt have a card as they are in the process of getting new ones however was given a letter my her manager to confirm staff rates applicable. however everytime we had breakfast we had to spend 30 min with reception to verify that staff rates were applicable. they didnt honor as she didnt have the card and couldnt show the letter as that was given to them at check in . the stay here was so bad i wont ever return. we paid for late check out so we could sleep through the day as we had a night time flight only for them to have a cocktail party on the 6th right outside our room, closing one of the pools to patrons. we couldnt sleep because the mc and music was so loud. the rooms were never cleaned properly.over all a very disapointing experience.

Booked a couple of nights here for a short staycation but was very disappointed with the condition of the room and service received. Check in was easy and we received an upgrade to a plunge pool room but then it seems most people get this now and not because I am an Accor Plus Platinum member. The room was nice but very hot and stuffy when we walked in as air con was turned off which wasn't a great start but as we were going straight out not a big deal. Plunge pool looked a good size and the room was tastefully decorated with some interesting pieces on the walls. Returning to the hotel later it was time to use the plunge pool so tried to order a bucket of ice. Response was couldn't have 1 as the restaurant closed at 2pm so nothing was available. I understand during these times things are closed but can't even get some ice...thank goodness for gojek for delivery. Pool was nice but very sandy which I don't understand as this hotel is not close to the beach so why is there so much sand in the pool. The bure walls were covered in insect nests or dropping which wasn't a great look and not an area that I would use due to this. No food available for dinner so just ordered in as not much open so just relaxed in the room and by the pool. Breakfast was nice with a good selection of set choices but suitable for both local and western people with a couple of side choices. Service once the plates were cleared was non existent with no staff in sight so we had to go in search for someone to get another coffee. I asked at reception to have the room cleaned while we were having breakfast which didn't happen so we packed and left despite the booking being prepaid. During these difficult times I would think the hotel would want to shine and try to build some loyalty from new guests to the hotel but in this case I will never stay here again or recommend it to anyone. Shame as it's in a good location and a nice hotel.

Dear geoffmark, Thank you for sharing your comment online on TripAdvisor. First of all, we are pleased to have had the chance of accommodating you as our loyal guests for your stay during this time. However, it is with regret I learned that it was not entirely up to your expectations. I have noted down on your comment and I have shared this with the team as well. The team has taken appropriate measure and we are monitoring the progress accordingly. Indeed, some changes were applied at the opening hours of our restaurant and bar in this current situation. We all as a team appreciate much the feedback you shared and we believe this will help us to highlight some areas in need of improvement. Please rest assured as we take your feedback seriously. Thank you for letting us know on your feedback and we look forward to having another chance to serve you better in the future. With my best Regards Daniele Ruiu General Manager

Just spent 11 days in Bali escaping our cold weather back home.
General incompetence in resolving and rectifying issues coupled with a smelly room and lack of cleanliness spoilt our stay.

On arrival our bathroom smelt like sewerage and stale urine. Many approaches were made by us to management and whilst the sewerage smell abated we were still confronted almost daily with the urine issue. We had a room with our own private pool but this and the surrounding area outside the pool were not cleaned regularly during our a stay. We remained in our room as an offer was made to switch rooms, however that room was subjected to continual road noise from the adjacent street. We had to spray air freshener daily into our ensuite to mask the smell.

Additionally the area around the ground floor pool was not kept clean and I had to return several of the pool towels as they were stained and dirty. One huge plus and one that must be commended, was the cleanliness of the public toilets that adjoined the ground floor pool. They were regularly cleaned and kept spotless which was hugely appreciated.

A convention was held during day 2 & 3 of our stay. Management’s incompetence resulted in them locating a temporary check in desk outside my daughters room when an unused desk in the reception area or perhaps one placed in the meeting room could have been utilised. This resulted in her being subjected to noise from 07:00 to 17:00 each day. After repeated approaches to management nothing was done to relocate the temporary check in area and resolve the noise issue. We did receive an apology letter and a plate of fruit which obviously did not resolve the noise issue. This issue was subsequently followed up by another manager and resulted in a free 1 hour massage for the 3 of us. Whilst this was very kind, the whole issue could have been avoided completely with good management and consideration of guest’s expectations to enjoy the ammenities of their room in peace and quiet.

The final straw came on the last day of our stay when the plumbing in our daughters room developed a knocking noise. Again after several approaches to management nothing suitable was undertaken. They did offer her to move rooms which she did initially until we realised them room was not fit for habitation. The room contained black mould spores on the ceiling and walls. It was on dealing with this issue that the attending manager asked my wife to remove her review of the hotel she had posted earlier on Google. Highly unethical, unprofessional and shows a complete lack of honesty and integrity on her part.

We approached the hotel this morning and no service recovery was offered to us as Accor members. A last minute offer was made for transport to the airport as we were leaving, however we had transport already arranged and to be honest, a $15 taxi fare that was offered at the death knell was more of an insult for the issues my family endured during our stay.

Needless to stay we will not be returning to this hotel in the future.

Staff are awesome, friendly and helpful. Location is central for shopping in Garlic Lane and big shopping Malls like Beachwalk. Popular restaurants are nearby and so is the Legian Food Court. It's a short walk to the beach and a nice enjoyable walk to Beachwalk, Matahari, Discovery and Poppies 1 and 11. If you prefer, taxis are easily available. BMC money changers, Circle K and Mini Mart are opposite. Everything you need is close at hand. The rooms are clean, well maintained and toiletries are supplied. So is the tea and coffee making facilities. Buffet breakfast is very well spread out with Indonesian and Western foods. So much to choose from including fruit, salads, cold cuts, cereals, desserts and hot foods. Great amenities and wheelchair friendly too. 2 pools with aqua aerobics offered and a gym close to 4th floor pool. I also enjoy the shared library to grab a book while relaxing in between swims. I have stayed here approx 5 times and will be back again. Price is reasonable too.
