This resort is fab. Clean and the rooms are really nice. Breakfast is beautiful and the whole restaurant area is very clean. The staff cannot do enough for you and are all courteous and eager to make your stay a memorable one. They organised a driver to take us to various places we wanted to see and Joe was absolutely brilliant 🤩 What a superstar. A family man who was the perfect guide and driver. He advised us and gave us lots of information about the island and its people. We couldn’t have asked for more. If you’re coming to Bali and want to see some of the sights then Joe is your man! Ask at reception for him… you won’t regret it! We were lucky enough to have a anjali spa massage which was perfect. Not expensive and one of the best I’ve had. Ask for Dewi and Wayan… they were superb 👌 Yudi the manager is brilliant and ironed out a very small problem we had ( not the fault of the hotel)….. he smoothed it out perfectly with no drama. All in all a very good stay in Bali and would I stay here again… yes I would most definitely.

This hotel would be great for a couple. I was a solo traveler, thus found it to be a little on the quiet side for me. The amazing pool in the middle of the resort should be used for midnight swims after the bar in my opinion, but the front desk think otherwise and shut it down early.
Everything needs to be reached using grab bike. It's not really in walking distance of anything, but every grab ride is very short due to it's central location. If you're looking to just hang by the pool, with some sun and friendly staff, in between day trips to different parts of Bali - this is a good option.
If you're looking to go out at night, roll right into a beach or bar scene, there are much better options than this.

Not my first time staying here and definitely not the last either. The staff are always very welcoming and friendly every time. Anything you need done the staff are on it straight away. For example the pool bar ran out of Jameson and I asked them if they could get anymore and they had 3 bottles there the next day. We stayed on the bottom level room 109, A fantastic room with 2 bedrooms with the luxury of being 5 steps away from the pool. There’s always a big variety at breakfast whether you get there early or late you don’t miss out on food. The Housekeeping is always clean and room service is always quick. Always events happening in the restaurant such as BBQs with live bands and Balinese dancing shows. Only 5 minute walk from the beach and location is perfect, there are many good restaurants and bars in the area. I can’t wait to stay here again where I always feel right at home.

6 days for $400 for two was why we picked this resort and central to most attractions and in a quiet location. Staff were very friendly and rooms were cleaned dayly. Would reckoned to get you own taxi to the resort and back to the airport as it was only $10.00 the resort charged us $35.00

It down a nice quite lane way which was a nice start .We booked a one bedroom villa, Villa Kanti . Ok its Balinese style but he floors are wooden and when your partner gets up in the middle of the night so do you. Also unfortunately there is also scooter lane way right behind it to so sleep is on a very minimum if your a light sleeper .
We loved the grounds and they where kept to a top standard, also the outdoor bar section away from the main pool was good for a afternoon drink or cocktail..
Room service was a little hit and miss, from folding up your used wet and dirty towels and hanging them up again , to not changing anything at all. Three times we asked for towels to shower with since they took them away and didn't replace .
Main pool area was great with good service and a bar . What hotel patrons don't like is people from other hotels coming in and using the bar as a drunken party area .Felt sorry for families staying in the rooms next to the pool. This happened on more than one occasion. Breakfast was also hit and miss. Doesn't matter what time you had breakfast it was cold. Only food hot was the egg station. We ended up going down the road for ours in the end. To myself the standards have to be lifted ,

We loved your positive reviews about nice lane way with Balinese style, lovely grounds, good main pool for drink and cocktail, great main pool with nice swim up bar and good service. We are pleased to inform you that you had a room which was nearby our parking staff so that why you would hear little vehicles sound from the room. If we find this case at the hotel, we will take an option to change guest’s room for the sake of guest’s convenience. We are curious if you informed this to our 24 hours front desk? Towels will be replaced if guests put them on the floor based on the sign we have put in each room in the toilet. We do not open our main pool with bar for public as we concern on our guest in-house convenience. However, we still allow our regular guests who have stayed here previously. Our team at the bar knows how to keep all guests’ convenience as we have safety and security standard at Astagina. Regarding the cold foods at the breakfast time, we are sorry to hear about that and we will share that constructive feedback for our improvement in the future. We will take this issue seriously to be able to provide better service for our next guests. Really enjoyed my stay at Astagina. The room and pool furniture could use a touch up (visible stains, scratches, etc) and the wifi signal was spotty, but overall it’s great value for the price you pay. Tasty breakfast buffet (included in the cost), convenient location in walking distance to the beach yet set back so it’s a bit quieter, generously sized, spacious rooms, and friendly, attentive staff.
Shoutout to Ketut for being an awesome and reliable driver - I did 2 day trips with him and both times he was very prompt, communicative on Whatsapp, and super friendly. Thank you & best of luck with everything!

Super impressed with the room, staff and facilities. Our room was really classy with the four poster bed and all the amenities were excellent. Pool was great with four poster day beds actually over the water to lounge on all day. Very close to everything and did not have to travel to far.
We gathered pretty quickly that the food was better elsewhere for lunch and dinner as there were very few guests eating I and we tried the dinner once on satay night and was disappointed at the overpriced meal.
Our biggest surprise was that the buffet breakfast was quite good every morning and always busy with hotel guests. On our last morning my wife had a beef teriyaki wet dish (huge mistake) which was the first wet dish either of us had touched on the buffet. A lot of their dishes are stored at to lower temps on the buffet. Anyway to cut a long story short she was vomiting teriyaki all that day and had Bali Belly for two days. This was our only bad experience and was quite unfortunate as almost everything else at Astagina was very good.
Don’t bother getting a price for transport or anything from the concierge as he was double the price of anywhere else. A trip to Candidasa for our next stay he offered 7000,000 rp and we got it for 350,000 rp out on the street in a better car. He was just going over inflated tourist prices trying to get lucky.

For sure we accept any kind of guest’s report on food poisoning however we do not want to be accused just because of assuming without doing laboratory check. We appreciate your valuable report to be delivered to our team for further investigation of our beef. Price for a car is varied based on quality of car offered, facilities, and convenient assurance. I booked this resort really late because me and sister needed to take a rest while we were around Double Six Beach and checked in at 12 am. When we arrived at the property, we did feel amazed by the vibe. We were handled by the very friendly guy at reception, he welcomed us with the cold face towel and drinks and dropped us to the room and explained everything very clearly.
What i was amazed most was the room. We were welcomed by the balinese music playing on tv in the room and frangipani smells which was very relaxing. I felt like just wanted to jump in to the bed as soon we came in. the bed was so so comfortable and clean. It looked like very well prepared. After long tiring day, the room was just perfect for rest. The bathroom was clean and completed with the kits. Towels soft and clean. Only the problem with the hot water, thought it didn’t work. Luckily we met a staff at the corridor; Koko. Super polite staff we asked for checking the hot water, and turned out we just needed to wait to make it hot. And he recommended me some places to visit around seminyak and bali. Very nice. Also the free breakfast in restaurant was also amazing. They had many options from traditional food to western. And all the staff serving it with smile. You can have your breakfast and coffee in their beautiful greeny garden. It was super beautiful, quite, cozy and wonderful. The best resort with very worthy price i’ve ever been in Bali. Would love to stay here again and bring my squad.

We stayed in a 1 bedroom pool villa room and found it to be old and slightly dated but was very clean and the staff were very attentive. Location was great and the breakfast excellent. The main restaurant meals were ok but a little expensive for what you got. We would/will be staying again.

We chose Astagina based on the look and the location, did not disappoint at all. I had organised with staff to arrange something for my partners birthday they were beyond accommodating with it, we loved it ! The breakfast is also really nice, it varies each morning so you’re not having the same stuff everyday. Housekeeping very good, if you need anything done just ask and they are willing to help. Roughly a 15-20 min walk to the beach depending on how much you talk on the way there. Seminyak and Kuta also walking distance or taxi costing about 30,000 ( $3 AUD ) depending on where you want to go. Very minimal noise in the room, no loud music or bars. We had a deluxe room and it was bottom floor directly opposite the pool. We stayed in room #108. I'm not sure about the pool villa because we didn't stay there, however I did see some room on the same floor with an outdoor kitchenette. Which is close to the pool area but not directly opposite the pool. Hope this helps
