Champlung Mas Hotel is often commended for its cleanliness, with guests consistently praising the well-maintained rooms and pools. The vibrant atmosphere, bolstered by themed buffets and live entertainment, contributes to the hotel's charm, although some believe the lobby is the standout feature. Amenities like diverse dining options, two pools, and a spa are popular among guests, despite occasional room maintenance issues. The staff's friendly and helpful service receives warm recognition, and while opinions on value vary, the hotel's prime location near the beach and local attractions is widely appreciated. However, room experiences are mixed, with some guests finding comfort and others noting areas in need of improvement.

So I emailed the hotel several times making sure there were 3 beds in the room and called them from Perth. Well we got there of course room wasn't ready they showed us a room with 2 single beds I said no i said I needed 3 beds omg. Anyway we had to wait longer for our room which must of been after 3. Room was fine average it wasn't that clean I found dirt under the bed. Shower was yuck and the shower head was hopeless the water came out so hot you would get third degree burn. Beds weren't comfortable and pillows were hard. Breakfast was average. I stuck with poached eggs and 1 toast and fruit. Keep it simple when u eat there. I never eat the fried foods at brekkie. Aircon was hopeless it was cool when u got in the room but when u had to sleep it wasn't so cool at all. Apparently it was a new aircon which it was they came to check it when I told them but it was a little better when they fixed something on the remote. Would I stay again no. Can't complain for $57 a night for 3 people inc brekkie depending on when u go of course. But hey if you are on a budget then yeah I recommend it for a 3 star hotel pick but not my cup of tea. Some people like it some love it some don't it's up to personal choice and I have stayed in many different rated hotels in Bali from 1 star to 5 star. I would pick from 4 star to a 5 star hotel in Bali but in saying that a 5 star can't always deliver either esp when u want an extra pillow hahha go figure that one. Anyway all in all a great holiday. Thanks for having us stay much appreciated.

The hotel has survived and is opened at small capacity. Rooms are clean and have new air conditioning units in place. Painting and maintenance a daily occurrence. So happy to see the place being spruced up..even some new lounges around pool.
Pool is crystal clear, though the elevator to top pool broken. Use the stairs or front elevator and walk 4th floor. Because of this the Spa on top floor have great deals to entice people for their services.
Pleased to say their was a lovely crowd of respectful people staying here-85% Aussie. Lovely and quiet and no noise at night for a peaceful sleep.
Staff are just lovely.
For a small budget hotel this place provides all the creature comforts.
Even now has a mini mart on-site

I stayed here with my boyfriend and his family for 13 days and we had the best time. Carlos looked after us to make sure the rooms had everything we needed and if anything was slightly wrong, he and the staff bent over backwards to help us. The beds were super comfy, the aircon worked a real treat, and the hotel had everything we needed for our trip. The pool with the swim up bar was a definite favourite of ours.
There are still small maintenance things the hotel is working on after reopening, but that’s to be expected as a result of covid. The rooms themselves we’re great for our trip.
I can’t thank Carlos enough for how much he looked after us. He is the epitome of the spirit at the hotel. If you’re looking for a decent hotel with very welcoming and happy staff to just give your Bali trip that extra bit of fun, Champlung Mas is a great option and Carlos is the best of the best!

The most disgusting accommodation I have ever stayed in. Some people say they love it, well I guess we have different standards. Give this place a miss. Not one part of my stay here was pleasant and it started with the raw sewer smell coming out of the bathroom. Then the filthy towels both in the room and at the pool. The pool is full of Algae and the stairs are slippery. The breakfast is absolutely horrendous. The staff are rude and not typical of any other staff I have encountered throughout Asia or Bali. They fumigate for mosquito's while people are around (highly toxic) and without warning. The shower was filthy and you definitely would not go in there without thongs. The list goes on! I am now at home with a severe notifiable infectious disease and yes I am going to assume it came from them due to the lack of cleanliness throughout the rest of the hotel. We confronted the manager, he didn't care! Told us he would investigate. We never saw him after that. Stay at own risk!

To anyone thinking of staying at the Champlung Mass I would encourage you. The room I stayed in was very comfortable and the house keeping staff did a great job of cleaning my room daily. The front reception staff especially Adi and Agu were brilliant and assisted my friend with a room on the ground floor, and I was close by. They couldn't have been more helpful throughout our stay. The bar staff in the swim up bar were very friendly and brought us lattes when we requested laying on the sun lounges. Breakfast and the all day menu was comparative to outside the hotel and delicious. It was nice to be greeted in the morning for breakfast by the lovely staff asking me how I would like my eggs cooked. Lastly, a big thank you to Carlos. You were wonderful and enhanced our stay by being your friendly and incredibly helpful self. Thank you Champlung Mass.

Terribly run accommodation. They took all the rubbish from the rooms and piled it in the middle of the accommodation court yard where the pool was and by 2 pm it was like sitting in a rubbish tip. You could not sit outside your room because of the rotting food smell. Tried to book an extra night at reception (the hotel was at half occupancy 171 rooms) and they wanted an extra 200 000 idr ($20 Australian) above what we paid for each of our 4 nights and said it’s cheaper if I use bookings.com (50 000 idr $5 Australian) cheaper. Looked at bookings.com and found the hotel across the street for $25 Australian cheaper so booked there. Three receptionists not one with one word of English. The bar charged my sister $8 for a small can of Schweppes tonic water. Food is good and rooms good. Bar prices basically average. Staff lovely.

From management (Carlos, Mardi) down to Darmada who cleaned my room to a very high standard every day, and the pool attendant who never seemed to stop working all were so helpful and attentive. The chef and kitchen staff will cook you a wonderful breakfast fresh every morning with the restaurant staff so obliging with attention to detail, great food, great hotel, great staff, stayed there often and always amazes me how the hotel attracts such wonderful staff, rooms are air- conditioned large with fridge and TV. two pools, This hotel and staff made my last two weeks in Bali so enjoyable sorry I wasted two weeks in a 5 star hotel. I recently stayed at Champlung Mas hotel as a solo traveler for 17 nights in a Deluxe room on the 2nd floor. Wow!! All I can say is the hotel was wonderful, very clean and all the staff from right across the hotel were the best, in particular “Onni”
The service in restaurant, room service and turn down was fantastic!! So cheerful and nothing was ever too much trouble for anyone and always with a big smile.
The pool upstairs was my favourite as it was quiet and in full sun. The surrounding area where hotel situated has plenty of shops and restaurants as well as convenience stores. My favourite local Restaurant nearby was LEBAK CORNER about 3 minutes to walk and with the best local cuisine, well priced too!!
There are drivers out the front who will take you where you want to go and there are also plenty of little shops to browse in with such lovely people to get to know, if you have the time. Not far to walk to the beach, garlic lane or Jl Legian.
What a great “small” Hotel.
I will definitely stay here again.
Thank you Champlung Mas 🙏🏼🙏🏼🫶

This was our first stay at Champlung Mas although we have stayed many times in Legian, so we knew the location and had viewed the hotel a few years ago.
We arrived late (10.30pm) and had no issue checking in, we had booked Deluxe room as we were staying 23 days so wanted a reasonable room, on checking in I was told we had a Deluxe room however the room we got (401) was far from it and was in really poor repair the AC was struggling (looked new but undersized for the room) water was poor pressure. As it was late, we decided to go down in the morning and check it was a Deluxe room.
So, we woke next day, the room still looked terrible but now there was no water to flush the toilet!
We went to reception and spoke with Kadek Adi who assured us it was a Deluxe Room (which I will never believe), but he said if we weren’t happy he would try and find us another room but the hotel was fulland to come back and see him at 2pm, at this point we were very worried we had made a bad choice, however on returning Kadek Adi had found us another room and asked us to go and check if we were happy with it and if we were we could change, so off we went to check out room 336, now this room was much better, cool in in good repair, we were very happy with the service Kadek Adi provided he is a great asset to the team there.
We enjoyed the rest of our stay at the hotel, there are two pools the downstairs one seems to attract the family groups and is well suited to children it also has some shade which the upper pool doesn’t.
We didn’t have breakfast so I can’t comment on that, they have a few theme nights which seem to be good value.
The hotel is in a good location for all the restaurants and shopping in Legian and a short walk to the beach
All the staff and manager (Carlos) were very friendly, and we have already booked to return in May (in a Deluxe room 😊 of course) let’s hope Kadek Adi is on duty to get us a good room again!

Been going here for years. On my last trip i decided to stay at a private villa and dam did i regret it. The next day i left and went back here where i normally stay. sometimes its better to stay where you know its good. The staff are incredibly friendly and accomodating. Carlos has always been a great help whether you need something organised he is always prompt in handling any task. Highly recommend if your staying at the Champlung mas reach out to him as he is always happy to help travelers coming to bali.

Their are 2 Pools 1 on ground level and 1 roof top pool. Rooftop pool is often empty so if you like privacy you can pretty much gaurantee it, and their are no kids in the roof top pool.

The food is very nice and they have a range of dishes
