I think we were given the oldest room , with the worst bed . It may have been quiet but I would suggest you renovate before putting anyone else in it.
But this hotel is a great price and the other rooms seemed to be a lot better.
Why pay $150-$200 a night . That money can be better spent on food drinks and entertainment.
It’s in a central spot. Staff are friendly .
But our room needed work and a clean

We booked in here as a result of a recommendation from my niece. And we were not disappointed! For $40 AUS per night we had a room with safe and cupboards as well as a good size bathroom. Each room also has its own balcony to chill out on. The pool was extra refreshing and awesome to dive into after being in the hot Bali weather. Breakfast is also included and although it was a basic menu, definitely did the job to fill us up! Staff were helpful and the room was cleaned every day! If you want to laze around a resort pool, just walk straight ahead to the Jayakarta and use their facilities for free.... best of both worlds. Would definitely use Su's Cottages again!!!

Well I was put in the worst room in the hotel, soon as I checked in I was offered to upgrade to a nicer room for a higher rate, I did not bother as I went by the pictures on the hotels/ca, well my room was not included in the pictures, the room they put us in should of be condemned long ago, holes in the walls, mold on the ceiling, walls were filthy, power lines outside less than one foot from our face, the stairs were unsafe, the pool was a small gross dirty pool, no one ever swam in it, the breakfast was crap, and it was extra, went down the street every morning for the breakfast at another hotel, so I had to pay again. The pictures on the sites are very misleading, now they had some nice room but they were giving to others as they walked off the street, I had my room booked for a year. Room 15 and 16 are really gross, not in any of the pictures online.,what a scam to try to get more money out of you. I will never stay here again.
Wifi was not available in rooms, had to go to lobby. Very noisy, roosters and dogs barking all night.

We've visited Sus various times over the years and stay time and time again. The place is secure, clean and great value.
This was the first time we stayed since the renovations a couple of years ago and the place is looking great.
However the best part of staying at Sus will will always be the team that look after you there. Happy, welcoming, smiling and will do anything to look after you.
Special thanks to Indra and Made who always make our trip to Bali so special. 100% recommended!
We shall see you again soon!

If you like quirky and comfy then you will love Su's 1. It was perfect. The property looks quite small but there are ground floor and 1 and 2 story rooms, all over looking a small pool. Rooms were spotless, bed was very comfy, tv had international channels, in room safe, fridge, aircon and a ceiling fan that worked so well and was noiseless, i didnt need the aircon on at all. Breakfast was more than adequate with eggs, toast, tea/coffee. I had the downstairs room near to reception which wasnt noisy at all and had great wifi. It was wirhin walking distance of the beach and had a great spa a couple of doors down. I would not hesitate staying her again.

Staying for 10 nights as sister needs to relax after operation. Small pool, large room with good bathroom although hot water takes 5 minutes to present. Our balcony overlooks pool and is on level 3.There is a lift in new building. I believe Su's represents value and an authentic Bali experience. Some staff can be ambivalent but cleaning staff are efficient and our needs were met when we made requests. There are newer hotels close by with NO atmosphere so all depends on personal preference. For me, I am getting good value for my dollar and a quiet night's sleep. Waking to the rooster crowing can be annoying though but hey, this is Bali. See Su's for yourself.

Stayed with 3 friends had a room each as it was so affordable. Basic but clean and nice. Great location and friendly staff. Pool is small but can use jayakata just up the road. Close to beach. Rooms well air conditioned and bathroom clean. Showers luke warm at times but given weather no big deal. Had problems first night with skylight in bathroom allowing too much light in fixed by putting towel over bathroom window. Busy street but on third floor did not hear it. Would stay here again. Many other guests seem to be on repeat visits.

Rooms comfortable, everything worked although hot water was a bit slow as was the wifi in our room (3rd floor). Friendly helpful staff. Breakfast was OK. Pool was nice. Only 5 minutes walk to double 6 beach and is surrounded by cafes/street food/minimarts. All in all, for the price it was well above average and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend.

Is our room on the second floor nice and quite and what are the pool hours

Our room was on the 3rd floor and found it to be quiet. The pool is small but nice. It was empty whenever we used it. As a family we were up at 5.30 and in bed by 9pm and the pool was always available.
Answer from Neil C

I didn't stay on the ground floor, but I did notice that it was a bit tight for movement around the pool. There are also some large..ish steps near the pool..1 up, 2 down from memory. The pool itself doesn't have levels, rather it is a sloped base from shallow to deep. I hope this helps. I did find this place very good for our needs, great staff and convenience, but I suppose I don't see potential obstacles the same way..good luck!
