Detailed Reviews
Stayed here for 10 nights, mixed reviews.
Firstly we had a hotel transfers, the driver who picked us up was very friendly, nice and caring, he also worked int he hotel and looked after us well whilst we were there, including when seeing when he was off duty could not do enough (Sorry i forgotten your name). The staff were friendly, on times with some workers on reception speaking English was a struggle but we managed to communicate with other workers.
The room was average, hotel can do with some updating, we had a king size bed which took most of the room up, the bed was very comfortable but i would have preferred a little more space, the room was clean and kept clean every day. The bathroom needs updating, do not get me wrong its usable but needs updating. Balcony overlooking swimming pool, was on top 1st floor was nice view and nice spot to relax.
Two pools, one on ground floor and one on roof top, was good to just relax in. The roof top holds parties which were good to attend, bar staff were nice and easy to talk too.
Location is good, not far from party scene, bars and restaurants everywhere on the street, can get very busy in evening and if travelling in a taxi you are more then likely to get stuck in traffic, many people will offer you a taxi ride on there scooter. There are a number of grocery stores on this road which is very hand as its a lot cheaper to buys everyday goods as well as alcohol from here.
Overall its a good hotel for what we paid and i would book again as i know what i am buying. Happy Travels.

I think people’s expectation of an excellent hotel may be a little high. I stayed at the Mulia in Nusa Dua and that was spectacular. Boring as hell but spectacular, if you want to pay $400 per night. We stayed at the Akmani on the ground floor with pool access and it was fine. Room was clean and sheets and towels can be replaced upon requested. Bed was huge and we had a great night sleep sharing between two adults and two young children. Having a direct access to the ground pool was great and convenient. Maybe we got lucky but based on the negative reviews we did not experience any loud and disturbing noises and the kids had a great time enjoying the time of their lives at the pool. Let’s just say, I’ve got 2 of the loudest kids too as didn’t experience any hostility amongst other people. We also tried the rooftop pool and food at one stage and that was great, especially for sun-baking. Rooftop area is big with a pool section a lounge section and a sun baking section. Look, for what you pay the money is worth it. I don’t bother with hotel pick up and drop off as I have friends in Bali, but just pay the $10 to get to and from the airport and you won’t be disappointed with any hotel expectations. Our room was clean and without any smell so didn’t experience any of the mold and bugs that other reviews talked about. Breakfast was basic but hey, bacon and eggs on toast, crepes and pancakes and cereal will do it for me. The added Indonesian options like noodles, sweets and salad was a bonus. I mean it’s breakfast after all. Only other downside was that the toilet pressure was very weak compared to that of the ones at the restaurant or pool area but then again, it Bali. Other than that had a great stay.

The rooms felt more like twin room than the pool viewing rooms as seen on booking site. However , staff were cordial and even added a special touch on my birthday with a cake piece and simple room decoration. Lots of restaurants in and around? With shopping and massage stores. Roger bali activities are easily accessible from this place. Breakfast spread on non veg days are a delight. However more veg options with description would be appreciated.

Great clean hotel, great staff, central Legian location, awesome bar staff and swim up pool bar on the roof... But... If you value a good night's sleep you may need to look further away from this location.
It is a real pity as the place is great, amazing pool downstairs that runs the middle of the complex, staff are so friendly and helpful BUT it is right next door to the Legian Party Club Bali which is very VERY loud (club music with heavy base) and tends to close around 3:30am... Daily.
I sleep with earplugs so I wasn't bothered, but my husband on the other hand did not get to sleep until after 3:30am every night except Monday night. We arrived on Sunday and left on Thursday so he was very tired by the time we left.
Room was clean and tidy, the bed was a bit hard but still comfortable, bathroom was beautiful with a big bath, a shower big enough for 2 with good water pressure & a bidet.
Breakfast buffet was lovely, good selections with an omelette chef. Having breakfast and wifi included was a plus and the rates are good for what you get.
There is a GREAT Mexican restaurant within walking distance called Don Juan Mexican Restaurant and Bar that has the BEST Mexican food we have ever had!! And the margarita's are fierce!

The hotel is more povo looking than what shows on Booking.com.
It’s an out dated dirty hotel. The rooms stink of wet mould, not noise cancelling and being on Legian you hear every single thing (including your neighbours footsteps).
We took our own sanitising wipes and thank God we did, because the bathroom vanity was disgusting!
Shower Water is salty, linen smells stink and damp. The service was average.
The most regretful booking I have ever made.

Fabulous location. Staff are extremely pleasant and helpful. The staff at the rooftop bar (especially Panjie?) were so entertaining and welcoming.
Breakfast not overwhelming but definitely more than adequate. Food was fresh and tasty. I had a fresh, made to order omelette each day and thoroughly enjoyed it.
Unlike others I did not hear the loud music from the Legion Club late at night, which is probably due to the fact that I had a “classic” room away from that side.
My room was comfortable, spacious and extremely clean. Housekeeping did a fantastic job. The air conditioning was an absolute godsend!!
Two issues:
1. If you don’t book a pool access room then your space around the pool is very limited as the only “spare” sun lounges (those not allocated to certain rooms) are few in number. I was lucky that my friends booked pool rooms so I could sit with them in front of their rooms.
2. Smoking is allowed in the restaurant during breakfast. Whilst I acknowledge that the lack of rules around smoking is a Bali wide issue, I really resented having to wave away plumes of cigarette smoke whilst eating my breakfast each morning. I’m not sure if the Akmani management have the power to ban smoking in the dining area but if they did it would make breakfast a much nicer experience.
I would return to this hotel again and found it to be a pleasant place to stay and my classic room represented excellent value for money.

We spent post Christmas at the Akmani Legian right in the heart of Kuta. The traffic jam was rather crazy and cars weren't allowed in on New Year's eve. Mostly pubs, restaurants, small souvenir shops, tattoo and massage parlours. Not quite suitable for families with young children. My 13 yo was rather bored around walking distance and we had to venture further out for more family-friendly places and eateries. Do remember to bring insect repellent everywhere especially when it gets dark. Hotel was pleasant enough, buffet breakfast was ok, too. Highlight - the friendly staff.

Not my fav hotel.
1. Water dispenser was broke and the jet shower in the toilet also broke. I called in the morning with hope it will be fixed in the evening after we arrived at hotel. Turns out it’s not… called reception again to get them fixed. It was fixed but i just realized the mechanic shoes are dirty and now our toilet is dirty.. 🥲
2. Reception didnt have any food recommendation when I asked them

We booked here with my wife (from Ireland) for 14 nights. Both of us more than 2 decades working in the hotel/hospitality industry.
The Akmani Hotel advertising itself with unverified information/pictures. Many of them are not matching with the reality.
Lack of cleanliness, poor quality of service.
Staff overall friendly, but mainly no experience/ professionalism.
Property definitely not a 4 star boutique hotel, we will give max 2. The whole hotel is dated, look like stocked in the 90’s.
We are not a swimming pool fans, especially what kind they have! During are stayed, we saw from the balcony ones a staff member was throw a handful of pills in to it, that was the cleaning, pool look like a swamp!
They refuse to give spare bath towels, I had to pay for a bucket of ice, if you want fresh coffee for your (already paid) breakfast, get an extra charge.
We moved out (4 days before) our holiday finished, to the different hotel. They refused any refund, even a prepaid Nyepi day buffet lunch/dinner .
On the check out, they wanted us to sign a disclaimer form, otherwise we can’t leave the hotel.
Not a pleasant experience!!!

Really great value for money.
Stayed here for 3 nights and there were 3 of us (my dad in one room and my friend and I in the room next door).
Booked two of the pool access grand deluxe rooms on the ground level and it was perfect. I wouldn’t stay here without booking these rooms. Just super convenient.
Staff are friendly. Air con was great, room size was good and had a bath tub. They also had security out the front too but it felt very safe.
Noise:
The only reason this hotel isn’t getting 5 stars from me is the noise from the day club next door. It is very loud all night until at least 3am almost every single night. We were ready to move on after the 3 nights because of this.
Location:
5 stars. Walking distance to everything you need. The pub practically next door called “the Pad” is fantastic value for some cheap eats and cheap cold beer.
Walking distance to lots of restaurants and bars and shopping including garlic lane.
Pools:
Good temperature - not heated but still refreshing and nice. There’s a rooftop pool which is nice and gets more of the sun but not huge so can fill up I would imagine when the hotel is booked up. They have the swim up bar as well and the staff up there were great fun.
The pool downstairs is great and was perfect right outside our rooms to just walk out and jump in.
Buffet breakfast:
Pretty basic - nothing standout but I prefer to eat out when on holidays anyway.
Overall great value for convenient location!

Nope a very quiet hotel! In a good location- 5 ish minute walk to bars if you wish to party
I think it’s open until 10pm
No. Only a window facing another building.
