Location is perfect, easy access to Legian beach.
Cooking equipment is complete, quiet environment, large swimming pools.
Easy access to another places, such as Sunset Road, gift shops, attractions such as Upside Down, World of Magic, DMZ.
We stayed for 5 nights, my son loves it so much.

We were delighted with out stay. The 2 bedroom apartment was huge, plenty of room for the kids to run around. Staff always greeted us with a smile and the fact we could use the hotel facilities was great. Excellent location, right on the beach and many restaurants within the few meters of your front door. Will definitely be back.

Don’t be fooled by the beautiful photos you view when looking at the property.
The photos are quite old as it’s quite different now.
The resort is very run down and needs a lot of TLC, leaking aircon units, doors that don’t close properly, showers don’t work properly, main shower had no screen or curtain and flooded the entire bathroom, rats in the ceiling and walls.
Second bathroom vanity had a gap with a rats tail protruding from the wall. Second bathroom the sink was ready to fall off.
The pool also was about a 200 - 250 metre walk which is shared by 3 hotels.
Definitely would not stay here again.

Overall our stay was pleasant, however Club Bali (within the Jayakarta Hotel complex) was disappointing. It is great in the fact that you can use all of Jayakartas facilities including the pool and breakfast. In general, the hotel is very old and worn (including the Jayakarta), it's clear that money needs to be spent on bringing it back to life. Broken tiles, old furniture and decor.
Cleanliness was just OK, despite stained bedsheets and pillow cases, ants in the room and also an unwanted pest (mice or rat.)
For multiple nights we had either a rat or mice eating our food in the kitchen and crawling up the curtains right next to the bed where we slept. Reception surprisingly acted as though this wasn't an issue, they said they checked our room and "couldn't find it" and didn't compensate us in any way. A day later we found a disgusting trap with meat as bait right above our bed!!! Horrible to know you're sleeping directly beneath it. (Pictures attached).
If staying at Club Bali you are not allowed to use pool towels from Jayakarta, you need to get them from Club Bali reception. However, on multiple occasions Club Bali had no pool towels left (they were all in the wash in the middle of the day) and we were told we had to go back to our room to get our bath towels instead. (Small thing I know, but an inconvenience to use your bath towels at the pool and then not have them replaced with clean ones to use for a shower!).
The Jayakarta hotel complex itself was not much better, the pools are a great area to relax for the day and gardens still beautiful, however restaurants are poor and majority of staff are rude. Breakfast though was great!
We are not the usual picky couple who find negative things to complain about hotels, we are usually happy with a bed and a roof over our heads however this hotel was a pure disappointment in not only the low maintenance of the building and rooms however the lack of assistance or concern from staff when needed.

The truth is that Jayakarta is what it is - cheap and average hotel in a great location.

I have been staying at Jayakarta for the past 25 years - since it was called Kuta Palace in fact pre name change days. Back 25 years ago i was a kid, and it was the fanciest place i had ever seen - and back then it truly was. Have they done much to it in the past 25 years- absolutely not. Do i really care - not so much. My memories of this resort as a kid were all about the location, it has three great pools, lost of room, big gardens and a park. Th ebeach bring directly out front was and is still my favourite part, its located next to a great strip of eats and the markets and money changers nearby are all great.

The simple fact is i cant find any nicer place with the same location for the same price. We stay here because of location alone and the fact its cheap. Every trip we know this. So much so that we go spend the first 10 days somewhere expensive and indulgent and then always do our last week here just to blow off steam and let the kids roam a little more free and easy.

The truth is this is the first trip there hasnt been an íssue'. Usually the aircon doesnt work, the fridge isnt cold, the freezer is frosted over, we have to argue for towels or the rooms are cleaned late. Plesantly this trip we had no hassles and it was a great last week that was super chilled out.

If you are the kind of traveller wanting a beautiful room in a beautiful location and you want the trimmings and to enjoy the time in your room book Padma. If you are an average Australian family who wants to spend as much time as possible outside with the kids, enjoying the pool and the beach then this is a great budget friendly hotel.

Dont expect anything more than 3 stars and you will have a great trip!

I am flabbergasted by the positive reviews regarding club Bali. I simply can't believe they are genuine. The accommodation was old and worn. The towels were a miserable gray and the pool towels had seen better days, probably 20 years ago! The first disappointment is that you are not staying where you think you are staying! That lovely reception is the Jaykata suites and yes you do walk through that to get to the very nice pool area. Club Bali is in the car park at the bottom of the drive in a rather unattractive looking building. One feels like second class citizens walking with faded pool towel through the Jayakarta Suites lobby! So secondly back to the dark fade accommodate.. The patio was tiny and over looking a brick wall. I asked if I could be moved to a room with a larger balcony but apparently they didn't have any spare rooms. I asked for a small table on patio as other patios had and I was told my room didn't qualify for a small table! Eventually after asking to speak to the manager a small table arrived. On the Wednesday it rained badly and when we got back from lunch my husband was watching TV when a rat poked his nose from under the wall mounted TV... Well what a to do!! We had 6 members of staff chasing it around the living room until it ran under the sink...scattering cockroaches! The staff said they would block the rat in under the sink...I was in bedroom packing and within minutes they moved us upstairs to a room which was the same but brighter as it looked over the brick wall. Now to be fair I wasn't going to mention the rat incident as I suspected that it had just ran in out of the flood BUT when in the new room I moved the sofa to plug in the lamp and guess what RAT poo. We were leaving in the morning so I just thought get the heck out of here!! We booked this through club la Costa points and I feel really let down by them and it does their reputation no good!! I have photos. By the way the hotel charged $25 to send a taxi to meet us. A metered taxi cost a 3rd of that to take us back.

We stayed at the Club Bali Suites for 11 nights.

Beware! Do not use the room safe! On the 3rd day we got back to our room & the safe code didn't work (you choose the 6 digit number). After getting the technician the next day we got the safe open and discovered AU $100 missing. Management advised us to claim on our travel insurance & even suggested we claim for more which highlighted to me their honesty levels. We never left anything in the safe after that & each day I would put an easy code in (liked 123456) and many times came back & it was open. I will never trust an in-room safe again!

All that aside, the room was great. We had a king with a sofa bed in the lounge but ended up sleeping on the sofa & put the kids in the bedroom so we could watch TV.

Having a fridge & kitchen was handy. We bought rolls from Bintang (15 min walk) & had them for lunch instead of going out for every meal.

Location was great - walk to beach, markets & great cheap eats close by. So easy to flag down a cab on the street to get to Kuta, Seminyak etc.

Use of Jayakarta pools was awesone - we had no problems finding chairs next to the pool.

Wifi was great - no problems in the room.

All in all worth staying there but never use a hotel safe (especially in Bali!)

We stayed here in October 2013 and thoroughly enjoyed it. We are not looking for five stars when in Bali and did not expect it at Jayakarta. The Club Bali Suites were great. We had booked online and were to pay hotel directly. This caused a little problem as we arrived at 1am and reception wanted payment before we were given the room. We only had Australian dollars. After a few minutes they accepted payment in AUD. The room had an initial mouldy smell but never noticed after that first night. We stayed in a one bedroom unit which was great. We had reasonably good internet connection in the room. Room was clean and comfortable. The hotel would definately benefit from at least replacing it's towels - especially pool towels. Whilst some pool towels were ok, others had large holes, extremely faded and frayed. Next time I would bring my own pool towels. Using the Jayakarta was wonderful. Their grounds and pool were sensational. Yes there are some broken tiles, but like I said we didn't expect perfect. The Jayakarta never made us feel second class because we were staying at Club Bali. If anything they went out of their way to make us feel welcome. The shuttle bus is available, so long as there are guests from the Jayakarta already travelling on it. They will not take the shuttle bus out for Club Bali guests only. I felt that was fair.
Location was great, loved sitting on the beach to watch the sunset. Plenty of shopping and action right out the front. Being right on the beach was exactly what we wanted. It was a very relaxing stay and we will be back with our children next time.

Club Bali Suites is part of the Jayakarta Hotel complex. That means lots of people using the pools, the restaurant and just coming and going. Keep this in mind, maybe not the place for you if you are looking for "exclusive" or "private". However, it was fantastic value and in a great position!! The room was immaculate, with TWO balconies, and everything you could need for your holiday. The staff were helpful when needed, but you were largely left to your own devices, which suited us! Even though the food is ok at the complex, you will find cheaper and better outside.
I have seen reviews about small bathrooms, ours was a 1 bedroom suite and the bathroom was fantastic!!

I only stayed at the hotel and loved it. Not sure about shuttle service, however taxi's and drivers are very cheap and right outside hotel and at times with in grounds of hotel. There are shops and markets all around within walking distance. There are streets and streets of shopping, just go out the gate and turn either left or right. Lots of shopping. Club Bali suites is in the complex of Jayarkata hotel - the front of Jayarkata is across the road from the beach. So only a few minutes walk from Club Bali through to beach. Some deals have breakfast included some don't. You can purchase breakfast package from Club Bali....note: breakfast would be eaten at Jayarkata Hotel. You also use the pools (there are 3) at Jayarkata and can eat at any of their restaurants. They have a lovely day spa but buy your package from Club Bali. Club Bali Suites is a quiet and very friendly hotel. I hope this helps you

Hi, the club Bali suites are within the grounds of the Jayakarta. This property is on the beach, great location. We wanted a kitchenette in our suite with table fridge etc so this is why we went with club Bali & not with jayakarta. You can utilize breakfast at jayakarta however we went to Swiss Berlin short walk, cheaper & nicer bfast $6.50 aud full breakfast per person as opposed to double at jayakarta
