We are 2 families with adult children that stayed in the 4 & 3 bedroom villas for 7 nights.
Robins Place was totally more than what we expected.
The villa's were beautifully appointed. Balinese style and very homely.
The staff were amazing, looking after all our needs.
Complementary breakfast which was absolutely delicious. This consisted of fresh mixed juice, mixed tropical fruit platter, eggs any way, bacon, fried tomatoes, plain or banana pancakes, toast, tea or coffee. Laundry washed and ironed daily.
Both villa's shared a kidney shaped large pool. Four pool lounges with umbrellas, day bed under a Bali thatched hut.
All set in tranquil Balinese gardens.
We all totally loved our stay,
unfortunately we would have been one of the last guests to stay at Robins due to the craziness of the world. Hopefully we will be back once a vaccination is available & we are allowed to travel again.

Back to Bali after 3 years and we stayed at Robins Place again. WHY?
1. Great location - Close to beach, restaurants and shops.
2. Great staff - friendly, helpful and always smiling. Morning breakfasts are amazing. (Freah fruit / Fruit juice/ Eggs and Banana pancakes).
3. Amazing set up. Private Pool, Beautiful Gardens and quite / relaxing surroundings.
4. Villa - Clean, bright, comfortable beds, great showers, access to kitchen if required with big fridge to keep your drinks cold.
5. Security 24hrs a day.

Highly recommend these villas.

Thankyou to the owners for providing such an amazing place to holiday in.

See you when we return.

We just arrived back from staying at Robins Villa, we chose this Villa as we read the travellers reviews and it sounded perfect, From the moment we arrived it was very disappointing. Firstly you have to pay 20,000 rupiah for the bottle of water to fill the urn, this is only $2.00 but it was the principle of when you pay $300 per night ( we had Villa 1) you think the water would be included. The main bedroom downstairs was very dark to the point you needed a torch to find something in your suitcase, ( i must add you can only use one wardrobe as the other is locked for I presume the owners usage). Mosquitos were the worst I have ever seen, my family were extensively bitten even with plenty of repellant. coils were not put out everynight, we had to almost beg for toilet paper ( i think they ration it), so make sure you provide your own. at night if we moved the cushions on the couch the amount of mosquitos that flew out was shocking. Bat poo sat on the couch for 4 days until we asked if it could be moved. Breakfast consists of fresh fruit juice , banana pancakes and anything to do with eggs, anything else you want you have to go and buy.(You can only eat so many eggs & pancakes) Receipts are not provided as stated. Even though you are not to far out from main shopping at Legion ( we usuallly stay at the Mandira,Legion or Padma) it was to far out for us , so costs us a fair bit in Taxi's and buying breakfast each day , One thing that really annoyed me is that people would just walk through to have a look at the Villa as they were told they could come and check it out, as I said before we paid $300 per night to have total strangers come and check it out . Security, there is absolutely none only dusk to midnight, did not feel very safe at all especially having children there. One night we had a party and had friends come over and the linen was the dirtiest I have ever seen, one thing was amusing though the maids said when we leave they must clean the mosquitos nets around the beds as they are very dirty, surely you would do this prior to guests arriving. Unfortunately because you have to pay in cash when you arrive you cannot ask for a refund or discount and there is no one to complain to. We will definately not be recommending Robins Villa to anyone, Been to Bali 11 times and this would have to be the worst trip . I dont understand how the other guests could give it a good rating as it was far from it.

We just returned from 2 weeks in Villa 3 at Robins Place. We have a 10 month old and a 2 1/2 year old. It was truely an amazing experience. The staff were fantastic with the kids. They provided a cot upstairs and downstairs so our baby could nap in the air-conditioned room during the hot days. They also provided a highchair and baby bath, and even a play mat for the tiled floor. Because there is no wall to the garden and 2 steps down, we were able to make a "caged" area out of the couches and ottomans to keep our baby confined if we needed. The kitchen facilities made it easy to feed the kids, and the garden gave us lots of play room. The gate to the pool area was great, as we never worried about our 2 year old running away without us knowing. Narsih, who is the villas main housekeeper, cooked a great breakfast, and a dinner for us one indonesian night that was amazing. We look back and wished we had asked her to cook more. I felt the security was fantastic, lots of patrolling through the night from the staff. The staff live on-site so it is easy to go and find someone if you need help. I loved the laundry basket, which we just chucked everything into, and the next day it all came back washed and ironed. A god send with the kids. Great flatscreen tv, and DVD player, and a secret back gate that leads straight to shops, and 7-eleven for last minute supplies.

Our friends were in Villa 2, and loved it. But Villa 3 has the better, bigger garden and the bigger and more comfortable couches, and satellite TV too. A big family was in Villa 1 during our stay, and the pool was definitely big enough for us all. No noise could be heard from the other villas. We cut through the Jayacarta hotel for the 2 minute walk to the beach. We were never stopped by security(it helped that the villa towels were the same - so just sling one over your shoulder as you walk through!)

We used the housekeepers to babysit our kids and they were fantastic with them. I cried when we left. Absolutely can't wait to go back.

I recently had a girls trip to Bali in January and we stayed in Villa 5 at Robins Place.

From the moment we arrived we loved everything about our villa and the staff who worked there. I cant speak highly enough about our house keeper Narshie! Every morning she would cook us beautiful breakfasts in our Villa which consisted of omelettes, pancakes, fruit platter, fruit smoothies, tea and coffee, we could have also had bacon and eggs however we chose not to. We gave Narshie a little extra money to buy some mushrooms, cheese and mangoes for our breakfast and this lasted us our entire holiday. We also asked Narshie to cook us dinner in our Villa one night for about AUD 10 each. She started off by making some nibbles for us to have around the pool and then we had tuna steaks, garlic prawns, chicken satay and nasi goreng which was all absolutely beautiful. When we had left overs of the nasi goreng she offered to cook it up again for us for breakfast. Our laundry was also done by Narshie every single day.

Our Villa was absolutely beautiful, we had two bedrooms with 2 singles beds in the bedroom upstairs and a queen bed in the down stairs bedroom. Both bedrooms are air-conditioned and the beds have mosquito nets around them which Narshie will come in at around 4-5pm and pull down for us. We loved the fact that our Villa had a large grass area and a tropical garden that surrounded the pool as it made us feel like we were in our own tropical oasis. The plunge pool was so nice to come back to after walking the hot busy streets and we loved the built in lounge chairs in the deck. I have to say the pictures on the website for Villa 5 are exactly how the Villa looks!

There was also a lounge room with a TV and DVD player which was great as there is a DVD store just down the road so we went and bought DVDs for each night. The Villa was beautifully furnished and very comfortable. There is also a fully equipped kitchen however we did not spend much time in it at all!

The security for our villa was very good. On our first night we had a slight mix up with the key for our Villa and within 1 minute of us standing at our front door the security was over to us asking if we were ok and letting us into the Villa. Throughout the night they would come in and just check that everything is ok and even though they were not stationed at our Villa we felt very safe and secure.

We also organised with one of the driver's Wayan for his wife to come and give us massages in our Villa for around AUD 8.00. These were the best massages we had the entire holiday!

The location of the Villa is excellent its just a short walk to the beach, shops and many excellent restaurants. The laneway to get to our Villa is neat and tidy and we never felt scared walking down it even at night.

I will definitely be coming back to Robins Place!

We have just returned from our Famiy holiday at Robins Place in Bali. It was one of the most memorable holidays we have ever had. The Staff were amazing, The rooms and Beds were Spotless, The kids loved the staff and they loved the children and we have never felt more welcomed. We have stayed in Hotels in the past and you are constantly stressing were the children are but at Robins Place you can relax by the pool knowing your children are not far away.
@Smile147 your points regarding the Breakfast, the website states what was included. The staff were more than happy to do some shopping and provided reciepts for us, The toilet paper we didn't have a problem all you have to do is ask and they are happy to provide it for you. With regard to the staff showing people through, They asked us if we minded, We didn't have a problem because they are escourted. You make it sound as though people just wondered through on thier own? The staff are very proud of Robins Place and where they work . I Don't know how this is different to a Hotel you never know who is next door, or who you are laying next to by the pool.
It was a massive difference staying at Robins Place over a hotel. The staff organized Massures for us everyday for a small fee. Shopping, restaurants, cafes, were handy just out the gate, I don't know what the below were saying they had to get a Taxi?? that is Ludicrous.

On the day of departure We had a late flight home and we were given free use of the Villa until our transfers came. With Hotel's you have to pack your stuff and store it. it is a long day from 10.00am till 12.00pm midnight with kids and no beds etc.

When I got home I appreciated a suitcase of clean, pressed clothes which is unheard of with a family of 5 I am doing washing for a week.

Overall I had a fantastic relaxing holiday, I will be reccomending Robins Place to everyone I know. We have even re-booked the middle of next year with another family.

Going by my title here, this was my third stay at Robins place.
I've always loved the ease in booking, airport pick up and love the location and yummy breakfast every morning. I have recommended Robins place to hundreds over the past ten years!
My trip last November left me a little disappointed as a relaxing trip with a girlfriend ended up feeling like we'd been stuck with relatives as we got absolutely no privacy!
We booked villa 5 which was absolutely lovely and just what we wanted with a bedroom each and a private pool.
Staff would just walk in and come and go all day! The laundry was obviously at the back of our villa as everyday we had other people's laundry drying on a stand next to our pool! Other people underwear just there drying in the sun! Our staff just walked into our rooms uninvited and without notice and yes, caught one of us in the loo! All day, gardeners, maint workers and what seemed like a nosey aunt that questioned everything we did even down to our choice of swim wear with our body shape! Four days into a seven day trip, I'd had enough after being caught half naked pool side by some man just walking in to grab a hose. Its called a private villa for a reason.
I'd definitely book again but this time I'd be laying down a few ground rules with the staff, that were lovely but just too comfortable walking around all day and really needed to leave after breakfast and leave us to relax in peace. It really did put a dampener on the trip as did my missing favourite black bra and a burnt iron mark left on a top through the laundry :(
We had to leave our tip $$ on the table as for the first day throughout the entire trip, our house maid was no where to be seen as we were leaving??
Great accommodation option and great location but my last trip was not very relaxing.

We stayed in Villa 4 which apparently was the newest of the Villas here. It had 6 bedrooms all with semi/outdoor bathrooms, 4 rooms off the pool area and the other two on entry. We stayed with 2 families and a grandmother (9 people) so there was plenty of room for us all with a large living area and eat/kitchen. For a new villa it all was a little tired and not maintained exceptionally well. We had breakfast provided of a morning by our two staff members, who also cleaned the rooms. Breakfast was minimal and cereal was not provided (we went and purchased our own) even though it was listed on the website!!
Restaurants around the area were average but a few on the beach were very nice. As this place was not super expensive I can't complain too much! We stayed in a villa in seminyak last year which was exceptional, so I suppose I was comparing a little too much!!
Nice for a family, but I personally would not stay here again.
