The Away Bali Legian Camakila delights guests with its exceptional value, offering reasonable rates and inclusive deals that don't skimp on quality. The hotel's prime location garners praise for its close proximity to the beach and local attractions. While the rooms are celebrated for their spaciousness and cleanliness, a few guests note occasional noise and service hiccups. The hotel's cleanliness, especially the well-maintained pools and daily housekeeping, receives frequent commendation. Amenities such as comfortable beds and two pool options enhance the stay, although the service can sometimes be overly inquisitive, particularly during breakfast.

We have spent a week here in early December and while it was quiet due to the rain, the staff were no less attentive or friendly. Everyone is keen to stop for a chat and to make sure you’ve got a fabulous tropical drink in your hand (the decorative fruit on the rim was particularly fun!).
We had a buffet breakfast every morning that had a mix of traditional hot breakfast and continental, and some special Indonesian items. Plenty of fresh fruit and freshly made omelettes available.

We popped to the spa a couple of times for their wellness treatment of the day which was so lovely! My skin was so smooth after the green tea scrub.

There are two swimming pools both of which are clean and warm. They don’t seem to be chlorinated too heavily which has been lovely as it hasn’t dried out my skin or hair.

The rooms are lovely- a big balcony and comfortable beds, a large bathroom and plenty of useful amenities. The soap and hair care products smell great!

I have to particularly commend Suci and Anita for their warm welcome and personalised care!

Had a peaceful stay at Away Camakila. The hotel is situated in a quiet area with great access to local cafes and restaurants. While the beach isn’t directly part of the property, it’s easy to walk over. The Front Office staff were super friendly and efficient. Housekeeping made sure our room was spotless, and the restaurant’s offerings were delicious.

We have just stayed at the Away Bali Legian Camakila for the past two week, and I am amazed to find such a pearl here. Don’t get me wrong, Bali is a nice place, but the Away Bali is something else.
Firstly, it is at a walking distance to the beach but far enough to be protected from the noise.
Starting with the Reception/Lobby. Although we arrive on a late flight, the greetings were nice, warm and straight away you feel almost at home. As soon as you pass the lobby, you realised how big this place really is. The unconventional size and shape of the swimming pool is very inviting although of restricted depth.
Now the room. Spacious to say the least, with a large King bed and plenty of lights and more than enough power points to satisfy anyone fond of electronic gadgets. A small bar fridge, empty so with room to put your own drink without having to take any out.
The service. Not just the out of the mill Balinese friendly service. Here, it’s something else, starting with Suci who is attending every single guest at breakfast time, checking and noting any detail that needs to be addressed. Not only one can be certain that will be done, but Suci will check with you the following day that it has been done to your liking. Same thing regarding one health! She definitely take the responsibilities that come with her position very seriously.
Anita, who replaces Suci on days off, is as good as. Obviously, she was taught well.
Sumardika, the bar floor manager ensures everything runs smoothly and his eagle eye will see anything missing on a table and will attend to it.
Carolina, behind the bar and also on the floor does an excellent job at waiting on guests.
The knowledge of Hari, the cocktail or coffee maker depending on time of the day, in making the perfect drink is second to none.
Eri, the housekeeper that will do your room, is very quick, efficient and makes some nice animal with towels.
And last, but not least by any mean, Putri, the “apprentice”. Her work fits so well within the group.
These are the people I had the most interaction with, and in a way, it is not fair to the few other that I have forgotten their name or simply didn’t know it.
And the best is they all have a beautiful smile and know how to use it. And they do remember guest’s name and their room number.

The food for breakfast is more than enough and of good quality. The BBQ night has improved a lot and cater for non-smokers as well as smokers. Our last BBQ night (20240507), by its food standard, the staff friendliness and the expertise of the band, was the highlight of the stay.

First of all it’s a nice resort, on the beach and in a great location
Staff are friendly and they have some great organised theme nights
Rooms are spacious and cleaned daily.
The reasons I won’t stay here again
Unless you have a pool access room you cannot sit around the main pool, there is no room for deck chairs, they are down from the pool in front of other peoples rooms it’s very odd ! I go on holidays to read and lay be the pool and could not do at the main pool . There is a second pool out the front but it’s chairs and terraced and not many of them for the size of the resort
Breakfast - was a challenge to get a seat sometimes and each morning struggled to get glasses for juice and cutlery - it’s the low season I would hate to do breakfast there in high season, if you can opt out of breakfast I would go elsewhere it’s not that great.
My room overlooked a vacant block next door so not the nicest view after all the adds show a pool view
Spa looked great however on both days I was unable to get an appointment so book ahead and I would imaging high season to be crazy

I was very disappointed as I had high hopes for this resort and was hoping to make it my regular in Bali
Have the keep trying

The hotel is great. The staff are amazing. Special thanks to Suci, Anita, Ogek and Risma . The breakfast staff were amazing. The would give my son his daily orange slushy and my daughter her hot chocolate. The looked after my mum who needed her room on the second floor as she has a walking stick. They couldn’t have been more accommodating even assisting them to change rooms as they needed a room with walk in shower. They treated us like family. Everyone went above and beyond. Thank you. We would definitely stay there again

I am just back from Bali for a short business trip and doing a little thing called a short vacation whilst on a business trip.

I stayed at Away Bali Legian Camakila and I had a great experience staying at this hotel. Firstly, the spacious room offers me lagoon/pool access (though I only once did swim since from the morning to evening I am away for client meetings) but gives me a sense of beauty of the room. Nice room decoration and for sure bedding and pillow make me lazy to wake up in the morning. And almost everything I need is there. Bath rooms come with a bath up and the hot water and cold water flowing fast, I like it so much as no longer waiting to fill the bath up with hot water.

Speedy internet all around the corner and helped me a lot for the work in the entire of my stay (I stayed for 5 days 4 nights).

Breakfast venue was overlooking the beach and breezy and windy morning waves increased the spirit.

Location is just great and have an access to the beach area, the option of a pool is available whether you need a huge one or smaller one while enjoying the beach.

The staff, extremely friendly and helpful and great by your name.

I can't say anything more since it all fulfilled my expectation, my better advice is that you should experience it by yourself. Affordable price is offered but worth trying.

Well spent weekend for stayvacation. Location : beach access, beach front. Shops and restaurants surrounding.

4 star room, however touch of bathroom amenities such as bottle of shampoo, conditioner, shower gel come with a decent product/ brand. Hand wash and body lotion as well. Also the coffee/ tea making facilities provided with good quality. Bathroom is very nice.

Spa is also nice with excellent technic of balinese massage provided by the therapist.

Alacarte menu is delicious, although waiting time is quiet sometimes for the food to arrive.
Coffee and danish during breakfast is satisfying.

Value for money…recommended.

The Away was recommended by a friend who goes to Bali several times a year. It was my first time in Bali for over 25 years and my daughters first time. We went for her 20th birthday and the staff at the Away ensured her birthday was perfection!
I booked a twin poolside room.

We arrived around midnight and checked in easily. Staff brought our bags to the room immediately. Our poolside room was the very first room at the bottom of the stairs going down from reception. I was worried it would be too noisy/have too many passers by, but it wasn’t really an issue. The first night we had a few minor issues (couldn’t find powerpoint near bed, or light switch) but these things were fixed next morning with the help of our amazing housekeeper Gede.

The rooms are large, clean and have great comfortable beds with lots! of pillows, the towels were soft and fluffy and the toiletries like shampoo, conditioner, and body wash were provided.

There’s an in room safe, robes and towels for the pool are provided if you just ask. There's also an in room tablet where you can order room service and massages in the spa and find any other info you needed.

The hotel currency exchange had a great rate, so no worries about being ripped off outside the hotel.

The staff go above and beyond for any requests you have.

Deluxe rooms are fine unless you really want your own poolside lounger. I paid extra as my daughter insisted on a poolside room, and whilst it was lovely, we didn't take much advantage of it (unlike our next door neighbours who spent all day every day on their private sun lounges with a good book!). I liked the outlook of the garden rooms (ground floor but not poolside). If you have mobility issues, choose a Deluxe room as the lift is there.

The resort itself has been well maintained during the last 2 years, everywhere has been freshly painted and the gardens well maintained.
I believe what really makes a hotel is the staff and everyone we encountered at the Camikila were most welcoming and so very happy to have guests back.

The star performer is Widy, the Operational Manager. She introduced herself at breakfast the first morning and was available to answer any question or help with any issues. She was very friendly and capable and helpful. I feel I have made a good friend. My other favourite staff member was Suchi in the restaurant at breakfast. Greeted everyone by name and knew their coffee order after one day! And Gema, our wonderful room attendant. Thank you all so much for making our stay so special.

Block 1 is in the shade most of the day. Block 5 in sunny. But the sun is pretty well overhead, so if you would like more dappled shade, choose block 1. Block 5 can get a bit warm. I suggest top level block 5, possibly room 5303, it's away from the noisy part of the pool and the restaurant and above the walking traffic of the poolside itself.

There are a number of bars and restaurants on the beach, but you hire them. The Hotel does not have chairs on the beach. The beach is out the back, across the road.
