We spent 10 nights in this hotel with my girlfriend from January 29th to February 9th. We were very lucky because we came in the middle of the monsoon period but we only had rain when we left.

I/we strongly recommend this hotel to all the people who want to be located around Seminyak/Kuta.

Before starting to give my opinion, it is necessary to know that the hotel is located in a lively geographical area which is Seminyak, you should not expect it to be 24 hours a day quiet. We can say that from about 18:00 to 22:00, there is animation in the street. We liked it with my girlfriend because we are young and had many places to go out to eat/drink close to our hotel. P.S.: The restaurant in front of the hotel makes a rather noisy show that can be heard in the rooms until, as I said before, around 10:00 pm.

1) We had a room on the 2nd floor and it was perfect for us. A large double bed, air conditioning that works, cleaning done every day and contrary to other comments, there was no humidity at all in our room. In addition, every day the hotel offers us 2 bottles of water, which is not negligible when you come back from a day of moping. If I could make a negative remark, it would surely be that the sheets have a lot of stains probably due to wear and tear, but it didn't bother us any more than that.

2) The pool is simply superb! Long deckchairs with sunshades, sofas to sit down and have a drink for example, the length of the pool very good for doing laps (1.2M deep so no diving or jumping) and beautiful sunsets! There's a food/drink ordering service with a phone, not bad but I'd still prefer to have a member of staff come up more often to take orders or just serve a beer that's already upstairs!

3) The hotel staff is really very nice, helpful and smiling. It's always nice to get up surrounded by people like that. They speak English very well and that makes it easy to communicate with them! I would have liked to leave them a bigger tip but I ran out of money! Thanks again to you (receptionist, waiter or cleaner) if you read this comment! :-)

4) The restaurant has a significant menu of a good restaurant here in Europe that is to say with Few dishes which means that the choice of products is of good quality and that the chef masters perfectly his menu! There is typical foreign food and Balinese food, both are very good! We have generally always eaten well except for one time when I had a dessert (avocado panacotta) and it was still frozen when a panacotta should not look like something hard. Prices are in the middle of the range.

I highly recommend this hotel and their restaurant! Price / quality level, there is nothing to complain about! Thanks again for the stay and next time we come to Bali, we will come back to this hotel!

I knew word would travel fast about this great hotel and I know why..... The staff are friendly, the rooms are clean, airconditioned, have a small fridge, there's a roof top pool and it's so inexpensive. Let's face it, when you're on holidays you are out enjoying yourself so why spends crazy amounts of money on a room. A special thank you to Lidia at reception - she is such a gem and will sort out everything if you have any problems. Another thank you goes to the very talented Gloria who is not only bubbly and full of life every day but she also has an amazing voice so encourage her to Sing a few songs when they have live music, Andrew leads the team well and Doni is always smiling, social and ensuring every guest has the best stay possible. This is our home away from home. Dad is a recent amputee and the staff were sensational helping us get him around. Thank you so much! 😍

I’ve stayed at (and worked from) Zest Hotel Legian for several weeks. Hotel facilities (including alfresco restaurant/café and rooftop pool) are aesthetic, comfortable, and well-maintained. The room itself is also well-designed, comfortable, clean, and very functional. Hotel staff have been easy to talk to, professional, friendly, and helpful. Dining options have been scaled back during Covid-19, but everything that I’ve ordered from the kitchen and bar has been delicious. I think most hotels and businesses in the area are trying their best to offer guests what they need, despite pandemic limitations. I’ve had a very good experience here.

A great hotel in the midst of some fairly busy streets. Yet quiet enough to get a good rest. Room was big with perfect aircon and a good selection of tv channels both local and overseas. Hot water shower and separate toilet.
Restaurant wise had a large selection of meals and included breakfast had different selections each day. At night the local band with great music just added to the vibe of the area. The rooftop pool was one thing we loved. Sat by the pool in the evening and cooled off from our days out.
What l most liked about the hotel were the staff. These are some of the best l have come across in Bali. Very helpful and friendly. We arrived at the hotel 2 hours before check in and was just expecting to leave our luggage and come back. But the staff on the front desk allowed us to check in early. It was a nice surprise and just made our first day there all the more enjoyable. Keep up the good work. We will be returning for sure.

Stayed here for 2 nights in early Dec’22. Selected the hotel based on location (South Bali and near the beach), price and online reviews. Expected a fairly standard western budget hotel (For those from India - think I**s hotels or similar), and it’s exactly that but in a tourist area. Rooms are moderate sized, clean and have fridge+AC; bathrooms are clean and have hot water shower. 2 bottles of water per day are provided complimentary, and hotel has a rooftop swimming pool too. There is no complimentary breakfast. Hotel is happy to hold your luggage, if you want to go out.

For those who like to sleep early and noise is a concern, this is not a good property as there is a loud, live performance venue just across the road. It closed at midnight on both nights and we were out late anyways, so it didn’t bother us much. Closest access to the beach is through a narrow alley that is not well lit, and does not feel safe at night, so keep this in mind if proximity to beach is imp. Hotel is near plenty of convenience stores and Legian market. There are few cabs parked outside and some of the sales agents can be pushy to offer their cab. We avoided them and stuck with reliable Bluebird cabs, which were easy to hail on the road mostly (asked hotel to call a Bluebird once too).

Overall, positive experience for us.

Have stayed at the Zest Hotel many times but disappointed this trip. We stayed there in September 2022 and had a great time no complaints, We've just returned having stayed there just after Christmas into early January. As always our room was excellent no complaints thanks to Gede who always had our room clean and towel animals on the bed. Lidya at reception is just amazing she goes out her way to ensure our stay is a pleasant one. I was sick during this trip, Lidya said to contact her if I needed anything. When the Dr arrived reception phoned our room but the phone wasn't working it kept ringing out and wouldn't allow us to speak, thankfully the Dr as adamant he had to come to our room as reception tried to turn him away. The girl on reception (not Lidya) kept telling the Dr no one was in the room, we were in the room just couldn't communicate due to the phone issue. Breakfast was a huge let down this trip, one day we waited 50 mins after ordering to receive our breakfast the following day we waited 1 hr, just not acceptable, we were ordering from their breakfast of the day menu not their al la carte. There were a couple of large groups in for breakfast who appeared to be given priority over the other hotel guests. Every time we looked at their tables more people had joined them thus all receiving their breakfast while ourselves and other return guests waited and waited! The pool area is also deteriorating, our previous visits were pre-covid there were umbrellas per 2 sunbeds now it's down to only 2 umbrellas. I enjoy sitting in the sun but my partner doesn't which meant we couldn't spend much time around the pool unless we were lucky enough to get an umbrella which didn't happen often. The water in the pool was turning green and we noticed algae. My parter pointed this out to the Hotel Manager but we didn't see a great deal of difference in the colour after their chat, the Manager informed him that he has no utilities to repair or address the pool issue. On a happy note the staff are lovely and have such beautiful infectious smiles. We are considering whether or not to return to the Zest for our next holiday, we might give it one more try if we're not satisfied then it might be time to look elsewhere, sadly as we enjoy the location of the Zest and the staff.

We recently stayed at this hotel for a week and booked three rooms. The location of the hotel is great and the facilities are decent. However, what made our stay truly wonderful was the exceptionally helpful staff, especially a staff member named Yiwan (if I remember the name correctly). Yiwan went above and beyond to assist us when we were in a bad mood due to a disappointing experience at another hotel. He not only provided us with a solution by arranging connecting rooms, but also offered us the best price possible. Thanks to Yiwan, we had a delightful stay and we definitely plan on returning to this hotel in the future.

Convenient location near the beach. Otherwise the Hotel is very noisy in the evening. After booking a non-refundable room we were advised that you can hear music in the evening hours. The music was louder than we imagined, it really seemed to be inside the disco, but fortunately at midnight it is turned off. Unfortunately we had a bad experience with the room just arrived. We found the pillows and bedspread dirty and stained. We immediately notified the reception. The receptionist was very kind, apologizing and trying to remedy as much as possible. Unfortunately they didn't have much clean options available. The following day the whole set was changed, but in any case the standard of cleanliness is not high in my opinion. The shutter did not work well and in any case the overall appearance is very neglected. We also asked for them to change our rooms, but it was not possible. We were offered nothing to apologize for what happened. The hairdryer is not present in the room and must be asked from time to time at the reception, a bit strange for a hotel near the beach. Breakfast can be added, but it is a standard American breakfast. I found better hotels during my stay in Indonesia. Anyway for one or two nights is ok, given the price

This was our 3rd visit to the Zest. We had a king room the bed was so comfortable. Thanks to Nopi and Adi for cleaning our room, thanks Adi for all the animals you made with our towels, just loved that touch. Gloria thank you for your lovely welcoming smiles every morning and a big thanks to you for helping us locate our scooter key when we misplaced it shortly before leaving for the airport, you're a star Gloria. Love the roof top pool but a few more umbrellas round the pool would be good. Great value for money in a great location. Thank you all so much for another awesome stay at the Zest.
