We stayed at Santai Villas for 4 days. We had the most memorable experience with great service, extremely friendly and hospitable staff and great attention to detail by all members at Santai.

The property was beautiful, luxurious and so well maintained. It was constantly cleaned and sanitised. The housekeeping team were very efficient and would come and enquire in a timely manner as to when we wanted their services.

We stayed in a pool villa and the pool was big and sufficient for a big family and so well maintained and cleaned daily.

The property overall was so enjoyable that we didn't want to leave and just wanted to stay indoors. Nevertheless the location of the villas are very much within reachable distances to a lot of places like Canggu, Seminyak, Berawa, Uluwatu etc.

The food was delicious, prepared exactly to our liking and they really incorporated our requirements of being vegetarian.

Special shout out to the Santai team as they went out of their way to make a special occasion (Birthday) in our family a memorable one. They baked us a delicious and indulgent chocolate cake and also treated us to a beautiful floating breakfast. It was so fresh and yummy.

Overall, our stay was extremely pleasant and memorable and we will definitely highly recommend this cozy property for anyone new to Bali. And we will definitely be making our way back to the Santai Villas.

We had a relaxing holiday thanks to the beautiful villa and the modest but friendly staff.
The pool is large and very comfortable with fancy interiors and a water dispenser in the kitchen.
The food in the dining room is very good and I am always happy to have free coffee and tea.
Unfortunately, the washroom and bathroom are semi-outdoor, but the master bedroom was damp and difficult to use because the closet is also semi-outdoor.

This is a very nice pool villa.
There was no inconvenience at all for 4 adults and 4 children to use it.
There are three rooms, each with its own bathroom, and the kitchen is outdoors next to the pool.
I think the pool is about 10m long. It was great for swimming.
For breakfast, you can choose from a starter, main, tea, juice, etc. It tasted good and my requests were met very well. However, there was a bit of a lack of amenities nearby. I'm so fortunate to have a delicious burger place.

We stayed for 4 days and were in the 3 bedroom villa. Very pretty villa, with 3 very spacious bedrooms. Its internal bathrooms are outdoors: very characteristic!
The pool is quite large and knowing there were children they had an inflatable killer whale inside the pool to play with.
They also gave us a really well done and super relaxing massage.
Shuttle service always taken care of and even when their cars were busy they called us taxis at their expense.
Their kindness is incredible!
I gave 4 stars instead of 5 only because the breakfast should be improved: personally I prefer buffets where everyone decides what to taste "from the face". (But in any case it was always satisfying, even if it could be improved, especially the fresh fruit juices)
Unfortunately, the area is not very convenient because you always have to move around to go to the beach and with the traffic in Bali it takes a while. But once you accept this, you feel great!
Thanks again to all the staff!

This was our 2nd time staying at The Santai. We had many positives with the service and friendliness of the staff. Right from check in and all the way to check out. We throughly enjoyed our cooking class with Chef Gede. He taught us 3 dishes that were delicious. The cooking demo was conducted in our villa after which we had the items prepared for our lunch. I cannot praise enough the personalised service of Chef and his staff. They were really helpful and attentive. The breakfast was also extensive and delicious.

The areas for improvement for this property - it’s looking very tired. Many things in the villa needs replacement or touch up. Our dining area is an open concept and some crockery/utensils are placed in the open for usage. I find this unhygienic as there are many insects and lizards. There was no soap detergent for us to wash the utensils. I supposed if I asked the service staff for it they would have gladly brought some for me. But I think this should automatically be placed in the villa for guests usage. I suggest reorganising the crockery in the dining area or have them covered. The rooms are also very porous especially the roof. Every morning we are woken up by scratching above the roof and all the birds chirping loudly. I think this can’t be helped unless the owners of this property invest more in sprucing up and improving the hardware.

Dear Mr/s. Roam, We wish to thank you for returning to The Santai as your stay destination for the second time during you recent holiday in Bali and we are most happy to learn that you had another amazing stay. I will pass to our team all your positive feedback with regards to their warm service and friendliness, specifically to chef Gede which has arranged for you another wonderful cooking class, great lunch and delicious and extensive breakfast selections. We appreciated your kind and constructive feedback with regards to the property improvement requirements as we may not see things that we could get from our valued guests feedback and those definitely will be followed up with required action accordingly. The beautiful space of our villa dining area is the outdoor area located just by the private swimming pool side and surrounded with greenery. It is equipped with kitchen and dining utensils which we allocated all in closed door kitchen cabinet in order to keep it hygiene and covered from outdoor exposer and dish washing soap is also provided and available inside the kitchen cabinet. We will investigate the scratching sound from the roof as you shared occur every morning in your villa, we may assume that it was from the birds, however, we will check and follow up further with the necessary action. Kindly rest assured and be advised that we have a room maintenance regular program where we close one villa for a room maintenance program and this is done consistently through out the year in order to ensure that all villa units will always be in a great shape. I am happy to share with you that we have closed the unit villa you stayed for a week in order for us to touch up and refurnish thoroughly and bring it to a top shape condition. Thank you once again and wishing you always in a great health, while we look forward to your return again for another relaxing stay at The Santai soon. With kindest regards, Yunus & The Santai Family Resort Manager

We stayed here for two nights with our family of four (one child). The rooms are spacious, the pool is large, and it's a recommended villa for relaxing. The staff are all kind and polite. For breakfast, you can choose from a wide variety of menu items, and they will bring it to your room.
We use WhatsApp to communicate with the reception, so you can contact them easily at any time.
There is a cafe and a Circle K opposite the villa, which is very convenient.
I would like to stay longer next time I visit Bali. However, I think it would be a problem if it becomes even more popular and it becomes harder to make reservations.

Three of us stayed here for three nights.
An Indonesian friend made the reservation, and we were very satisfied with our stay.
It was a very clean, three-room villa, and the private pool was about 15m? It was huge.
There were many options for breakfast, so we could enjoy something different every day. For about 2,000 yen, you can even get a floating breakfast.
The staff are available 24 hours a day, and you can ask them anything on WhatsApp and they will respond immediately. They are very kind.
I would definitely like to stay here again when I'm in Canggu.

How close is the beach from The Santai? Is it walkable? Also, are there cafes and shops near by?
Answer from Yunus I
Bali, Indonesia20 contributions2 helpful votes
Dear Mr/s. Cambriant, The Santai, located in Jalan Bumbak, Kerobokan, Bali, is approximately a 10 to 15-minute drive away from the nearest beach. The exact time may vary depending on traffic conditions and the specific beach you are referring to. Bali has several beautiful beaches, and some popular options near Kerobokan include Batu Belig Beach, Petitenget Beach, and Echo Beach. It's advisable to check the current traffic and road conditions before planning your journey to the beach. Walking to the beach from The Santai would take around 45 minutes to 1 hour, depending on your walking pace. As for nearby cafes and shops, there are a variety of options in the surrounding area. Jalan Bumbak and its vicinity offer several local eateries, cafes, and convenience stores. Additionally, if you head towards the popular tourist areas such as Seminyak or Canggu, you'll find a wider selection of cafes, restaurants, shops, and boutiques. These areas are typically accessible within a short drive from The Santai. I trust the information is sufficient and looking forward to the opportunity of welcoming you to The Santai. Thank you and with kindest regards, Yunus & The Santai Family General Manager

Kindly be advised that we are a boutique resort with private pool villa concept with total only 11 units of villa, there is no buggy service and it is only one minute walking distance to all areas of the resort.
