I stayed at this accommodation in Jan 24 and the resort seems to have made some improvements although I was happy enough in January. We stayed in room 111 again and the room is large and almost has a theme park feel, it’s castle like and very grand. Yes, the curtains were a bit rain stained but the room was cleaner than on our first trip. The deck chairs around the pool have been renewed and it is a very nice pool. The bar area which had chairs piled up on it in January and was very dusty, was clean and set up and ready for stock and customers (there was no bar service on January). They also have some at reception throughout the night, which is handy for us as we were visiting Kerobakan for an evening event. No doubt, If I need an overnight stop in this area again, I will be booking Dewani.

We just stayed for a week at the Dewani Villa resort and absolutely loved it. Situated in a quiet street away from the hustle and bustle but still close enough to Seminyak and Canggu. There are plenty of restaurants and cafes near by most notably Malaya Straits which is literally across the road, we ate there 3 times! and ROU for coffee, tiny hole in the wall with very knowledgeable and chatty barista.

Dewani Villas Resort is small and quiet, perfect refuge after a day out. Nyoman is the most attentive and welcoming host. She make you feel right at home. Rooms are very spacious, beds are very comfortable and contrary to other reviews shower water pressure is one of the best we've seen in Bali. Highly recommend and we'll certainly be back. Thank you Ny and Team for looking after us. Looking forward to being back, Béa and Shaughan.

After visiting Bali on a dozen occasions and having stayed at many different types of accommodation, we have found our home away from home. We loved everything about Dewani, the staff i, from Gin to Made, Smiling Sam and all the others made us feel so welcome and really couldn't do enough to make our stay a pleasant one. The villas (we had the Pool View) were spacious, clean and well furnished and the outdoor shower was lovely. We certainly wouldn't hesitate in recommending Dewani Villa Resort to our friends and cannot wait to get back, it truly is a gorgeous Bali experience and the value is amazing.

I wanted to travel to Bali for years and decided to stay at Dewani for 10 days. I read all the reviews and liked all the great things I saw about Dewani. My fear was like most things if something is talked about very highly that my expectations may end up being too great. This was one of the few times that even with all the amazing things I had read that the hotel and staff ended up surpassing all the reviews.

The moment I walked into Dewani I realized that I was going to experience something special. I was immediately greeted by Mr. Ginastra and his staff and put instantly at comfort coming off a long flight. As I entered Dewani I am not sure what I was more visually taken by the beautiful pool or the immaculate grounds. The courtyard is amazing and is very well taken care of. There are plants, flowers and tree throughout and when I walked in a saw birds flying between the plants. I was shown to my room which was very large and contained many pieces of well carved furniture. I would highly recommend trying the Lestari restaurant which is with walking distance and also the Globe which is only slightly farther.

Even though it has been said many times it is hard to get a real idea of how friendly and genuinely nice the entire staff is at Dewani. I have never stayed at a place where the entire staff was as helpful, kind and likeable as the people at Dewani. Mr. Ginastra is an amazingly nice and caring person and would make sure I had everything I needed while I was there. I took a couple of very early all day tours and he actually apologized that he had missed seeing me those few days. Made as others have said makes wonderful banana pancakes among other things. Bagus was my driver for many days and I could not ask for anyone better. This is where I truly learned a lot about Bali. Any question I had he had extensive knowledge about. I was like a child asking question after question during the first few days and I really appreciate all the insight he was able to provide. He was able to take me pretty much any place I wanted to go and always had a smile on his face.

I am already making plans on when I

My wife and I spent our honeymoon here for 5 days at the start of June. We wanted an authentic Bali experience not watered down by hotel and food chains and we wanted a quiet place away from tourist centers.

The pool and gardens are beautiful and the villas themselves are spacious and exotic.
Because there are only 7 rooms, the staff knows you by name and gives you outstanding, friendly, and personal service. The daily breakfast with banana pancakes are delightful.

Upon arrival, the staff had prepared special decorations for our honeymoon which was a warm touch. The rooms are very spacious and cozy. We had a second level room and fell asleep each night staring at the high vaulted ceiling of the villa.

The villas are located in a suburban area 10 minutes from Seminyak with a courtesy shuttle back and forth. Staying here, it felt like a homey Bed & Breakfast experience rather than the cold compartment feeling you would get staying at a hotel.

Thank you to the staff of Dewani Villas for the wonderful experience and pleasant stay!

We were fortunate to have stayed at the Dewani for 12 glorious nights. It is an amazing facility that provides excellent accommodation facilities with truly exceptional customer service. We were met at the airport by Sam. His wonderful smile and heartfelt welcome set the tone for the rest of our stay.

The Dewani consists of 7 rooms – 6 split between 3 two storey buildings with the 7th above the main reception building. The rooms are very spacious with a separate dressing area and an amazing open air, partially enclosed shower. How wonderful was it to have a shower while hearing the birds singing in the background, feel the warmth of the Bali air, feeling really close to nature yet still maintaining your privacy. The various buildings and swimming pool are positioned within a walled tropical garden. Breakfast is served in a thatch covered, yet open air building where you can enjoy wonderful pastries, juice, tea/coffee, cereal, eggs and of course the now infamous banana pancakes.

The Dewani is positioned in the Umalas region set amongst rice paddies. It is a wonderfully peaceful and rural area yet you can be in central Seminyak within 5 minutes courtesy of the complimentary shuttle service. You therefore have the best of both worlds – the peace and quiet of surrounding rice paddies yet able to be in the heart of trendy Seminyak with all its wonderful restaurants and shops within minutes.

Out of all of our wonderful memories we have of our stay at the Dewani, if we were to chose one it would have to be the impeccable service provided by ALL of the staff. When we checked in we met Sam at the airport and Joko who signed us in. Yet as and when we met the other members of the team across their various shift patterns during our stay over the next 12 days, each staff member knew us by name despite not having met them before. This personal touch and their exceptional level of service truly made our stay at the Dewani memorable. You felt as though you were part of a family rather than an anonymous guest at a faceless resort.

A very big thank you to Gin and all of the wonderful staff for making our stay truly memorable. We will be back!!!

My girlfriend and I spent two weeks at this amazing hotel. With only seven rooms you get a really personal experience with all of the staff greeting you by name. The staff were all really helpful and polite, and were always willing to answer any questions and make recommendations. Rather than the normal sales types you get, the hotel staff came up with recommendations of things to do, with guide prices and things to watch out for which came in really useful.
The hotel itself is absolutely beautiful, with a lovely swimming pool and peaceful surroundings. The rooms are large and perfectly equipped for anything you may need. The traditional style of design really helped separate Dewani from a major hotel chain.
I really cannot recommend Dewani enough, we were both sad to leave at the end of the two weeks as we had really made a second home in such a lovely resort.

I love this place and keep coming back because it must be one of the best value for money offers around. The 7 rooms are spread over a meticulously kept tropical garden raea in three traditional style round buildings, one upstairs and one downstairs to each villa, and then there is a suite upstairs in the reception building. All the rooms are huge by any standard, furnished with traditional furniture and nicely decorated, an equally huge bathroom area and an outdoor shower. Obviously for the price they are rented for you will not get super luxury (as some people recently reviewing seem to be expecting) but they are clean, extremely comfortable and airconditioned, yet admittedly just a little dated, which I do not mind at all. The pool is big and sparkling surrounded by the tropical garden. Because you are in the tropics and in a garden area, there are ants on occasions, and of course the occasional gecko in the room chasing them but the lovely staff will hppily help you to remedy that on asking. They drop you off for free twice a day too to Seminyak Square or the beach at 11:00 and 15:00, which is great.Thank you again all the staff, hope to see you again.Highly recommended!

We stayed in Dewani Villa resort for two weeks during our honeymoon in 2015. This was for us a truly amazing experience. Although the resort is not big, the wondeful and extremely helpful staff provides you with every single service you can imagine.
The bungalows are beautiul situated and have an wonderful traditional atmosphere with all luxury you need or want.
dewani is located on very short distance from restaurants and bar area, but just far enough to enjoy true quietness and rest.
We've been in many hotels around the world, but the friendlyness of the Dewani staff is so far the very best we've ever experienced!!
When we were in Bali again in September 2016, we didn't have to think twice about were to stay: Dewani of course! The staff even still recognised us and we were happy to see that the quality and high standards are still going strong.
Despite Dewani is a relatively small resort (3 bungalows and a suite), the staff is happy to provide you with any kind of service. From fresh prepared breakfast, brought in roomservice, rental motorbike or car to arrange every possible trip or excursion.
And always and ever with a warming smile. Special thanks to Samuel and Ardi, who's services and kindness are just by far the best we have ever experienced! When we have to stay in South Bali again, we will definetely come back to Dewani Villa. A true paradise!

My wife and I returned to Dewani for the 4th time having experienced a wonderful time in the past leaving us each time with a strong sense of family and an even stronger desire to return. Unfortunately this stay has changed our opinion significantly and although there are still a couple of the original genuinely beautiful Balinese staff (Made, Putu, Eckar and Pepit) the service and standards left have had a significant shift.
In the past it was the small touches like a ginger drink on arrival, snacks provided by the pool in the afternoon, fruit in the room replenished daily and a willingness to accommodate any requests around information. I was shocked when I mentioned booking a massage at Dewani and it was suggested by staff that I find somewhere outside to have massages. We also requested transport to a restaurant approximately 5klm away and staff wanted to charge us $20 AUD each way!!!! Needless to say we caught a Bluebird taxi and it was just over $5AUD each way.
This review is a very honest and it is not hard to sense the disappointment we feel after this recent stay. It is always special to find a home away from home in another country and to want to come back year after year but unfortunately this will be our last stay at Dewani.....
