Ups: - nice bathrooms - lovely staff at restaurant Downs: - Stayed the one loooong night mid of February '17 - The damp mouldy smell doesn't let you sleep and makes you feel sick! Not just a little smell, very bad! We looked at 2 different rooms, some smell less some more, but both of them were bad. - Reception...

From the moment I arrived at Strawberry Hill Hotel, I felt immediately relaxed and had a sense of comfort, as well as being in awe of the beautiful surrounds. Beautifully manicured gardens and friendly staff are just the beginning of the experience had here. There is also so much to experience with the famous lake Bretan which has a temple...

Nice location in a seemingly relaxing environment, but not very clean bathroom nor restaurant. Also close to quite nousy road, a bottle of water at the room is a minimum for me. Good for one night, would not recommend to a friend.

The bungalows are quite nice and clean. But without a driver you cannot really do anything from here. The hotel is within the mountain on the main street (you normally don't hear any noice from that street). If you stop over for a night this is a nice place. They also have a strawberry field where you can pick your...

What a beautiful hotel, our lovely cottage was wonderful. A lovely well set out bathroom with a freestanding stone bath. Cottage was quite large really but had a bit of a musty smell. Room was clean with a lovely balcony overlooking the gardens. The only negative thing about the hotel is it's proximity to the road, which is very noisy...

Thank you for your generous review. We do our best to combat the dampness, by airing the rooms daily, and with the use of dehumidifying machines. Unfortunately our mountain climate is such that we sometimes go for days without seeing the sun, with just cloud, fog, and rain! The road is indeed ever-present, but we have insulated our rooms as...

The cottages look beautiful. The negative is that its right next to the road so it was noisy. Also the breakfast was very meager. You could only choose 1 small meal. Food in the restaurant was nothing special. Unfortunately it was our only option when we came in the evening.

Yes, we are sorry, but the hotel is close to the road. We do carefully and clearly explain in the room folder all about that, and how there's no need to open windows at night, so as to minimise the disturbance in the early morning. Sorry you were disappointed with our restaurant. We are about to improve the breakfast choices,...

Close by Ulundanu temple and Botanical garden Very quite, nice place to get a relax time. Room clean, with a balcony so you can see the strawberry plantation from your room. Bathroom was clean with good hot shower, bathtub, hair dryer, breakfast was good ! Would recommend to stay here.

The concept of this hotel is very original with the bungalows on the hill and strawberry's to pick yourself for a healthy snack. The rooms are clean and the bathroom has everything you need. There is no airco, but the fan provides enough cooling effect for a good night's rest. Unfortunately, the hotel is located near a busy road and...

Thank you for your review. We are indeed close to a main road - never try to hide the fact. But it is quite possible to eliminate an unwanted early morning wake up call - we are careful to advise in our Guest Folder that windows should be closed at night, and that this will not prevent a good night's...

We stayed at Strawberry Hill for 3 nights. The cabins are beautiful, a large bath is in the bathroom which you can open windows to look out at the mountains and strawberry fields. Staff are very helpful and breakfast in the room in the patio is just great. Beautiful accommodation

The rooms are quite comfortable and clean (specially the bathroom), the food at the restaurant is good and cheap but the cocktails are better :). The town is 15min away walking but there's not much to see so it's better just to stay at the hotel and do excursions.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Strawberry Hill's individual cabins incorporate features of a typical Indonesian mountain-style residence, such as wood floors, and wooden-clad walls. Each has a comfortable, colourful and cozy interior, a balcony facing one of Bedugul's dormant volcanoes, and its own en-suite bathroom complete with bathtub and plenty of hot water, for those unexpectedly cool high-altitude evenings. Our restaurant serves tasty Indonesian and international favourites, and on cool nights boasts Bali's only real log fire! ... more   less
