Im very grateful to this hotel as they took us in after the hotel before the Nusa Bay was a disaster. There is a fantastic infinity pool with loungers around the edge under trees which seem filled with humming birds. There is also a hot spring which is super to sit in and all with a view over the bay. We had a bay view room with a garden and outside bathroom. The room was well equipped and when we asked for another chair it was there in minutes. We were introduced to the registered manager who wanted to make sure that our stay was a good one. I do think that due to the low season they had cut down on the menu in the restaurant. The first evening the bar tender was great and even helped us make a dragon fruit cocktail but the second the waitress just said that there wasnt a bar person on duty. A shame as there are not really any other places to go around there. The spa was wonderful, though they were a little surprised when we turned up as there has clearly been communication problems between reception and them. these little niggles are the only reason i could not score a five. If you are in this area I really would give this place a try.

Naya Gawana is a beautiful Eco resort in a quiet area of Bali, everyone should take the time to discover this lovely off the well travelled road area. The location is stunning, we stayed in a Bay View lodge and had wonderful views, the room was beautiful and we loved the outdoor garden and bathroom. All of the staff at the resort were excellent and really took the time to make sure we had an excellent stay. There is very little evidence in Bali to back up the commitment to discontinue single use plastics by the end of 2022 but this resort really shows their commitment with water dispensers in all areas, reusable metal water bottles in the room and refillable ceramic bottles for all complimentary toiletries, well done Naya Gawana! Sipping on fresh coconut poolside. watching my 9 and 12 year old in the pool all day is just what I needed. They would come out to enjoy a nana split and play pool. The staff even did craft time with them. We stayed in the lumpung suit and it was the perfect size with a built in large bathtub. Our snorkeling tour boat ride was great you can not miss it we saw every school of tropical fish you could imagine. The best part was the staff from management to all the wait staff we already miss them they are a great team. Please go visit them and they monkeys will be sure to greet you as well. We learned this is a locally owned and operated eco resort so please don’t skip it it’s worth the drive.

The Bay View Bungalows for 3 people had an open bathroom with garden and private terrace facing the sea / garden with swing. In the hotel were many tour groups who left after a few days. Then the pool area was partly very crowded and all deckchairs occupied. But since we were mostly diving and never stayed long by the pool and that did not bother much. Extra River's dive center was super good and totally relaxed and flexible. a new base was just under construction and should open soon. Unfortunately, it had no beach area. The nearest public beach was a 15-minute walk away and we never managed to take the walk. If we hadn't gone diving every day, it would have been inevitable.

What a beautiful stop in this hotel. The lodges are original and all wooden. The bathroom is huge with an amazing bathtub. Everything is well equipped, with little touches that are very appreciated such as mosquito repellent lotion, e-readers and flashlight, not to mention hygiene products with hummmm jasmine scent. The staff is lovely. The buffet was delicious! From soup to desserts everything was perfect. The setting is beautiful, the pool is top. There is also a nice pontoon to watch the sunset. The pinnacle of the hotel is its Spa!!! Guaranteed relaxation, high quality services. In short, a great base for snorkeling sessions in turquoise water surrounded by thousands of exotic fish and turtles!!!

Our travel agency booked the Naya Gawana for three nights in February 2024. Although we didn't want to dive or snorkel, we really enjoyed our stay because we wanted a quiet, charming place to relax. The complex has a lot of atmosphere, the pool is great (25 m long), from there and from the jacuzzi you can overlook the bay. The staff were always very friendly and helpful. There are no plastic bottles! You can fill up water at the "water station". Our accommodation, the "Bay View Suite" (No. 5), was a detached cottage with a half-open bathroom and an adjoining small, secluded garden. Kimonos and slippers were available for use in the cottage. We enjoyed sitting on the terrace with a coffee early in the morning and enjoying the view of the bay and the birdsong. The view is not completely unobstructed because there are trees "in between", but that didn't bother us. Breakfast and dinner were very good. We booked a trekking and a mangrove tour through the hotel. We would happily recommend the Naya Gawana Resort and would come again. Miss Martina and Mr. Uwe :)

We have literally left the hotel and I couldn't wait to write a review. It is our first time in Bali and our expectations are continually being surpassed. I had some correspondence with the staff at Naya Gawana as it was our 29th wedding anniversary whilst staying. Emails were prompt and very helpful. The attention to detail is sublime. Everything from the emails to arrival, as well as the continual efforts by the staff and management whilst you are there. We would recommend the mangrove tour, which has been recently revised to support the local community. It was beyond words. The guide was amazing. We saw deer, heron, egret and many kingfisher diving and catching fish. The tour concluded at sunset drinking hot ginger tea on a traditional Bali boat.
We also booked the romantic meal on the jetty. Such a labelled event in the UK would probably lead to disappointment. Falling far short of the mind's eye. We can honestly say it was one of the most truly wonderful experiences of our life. The jetty was decorated and prepared. We had three staff attending to our needs. There were flower decorations and traditional Bali music played by an accomplished member of staff. For over two hours we were treated like royalty. A night we shall not forget. The attention to detail was incredible. Staff discretely checked with us throughout the day. The manager came to check personally and spoke with us throughout our stay. We can't thank the staff enough for their attention to detail, their friendliness and the dedication to us to ensure we had a great time. All that and an infinity pool, great food in the restaurant and sited in a national park, surrounded by mangrove. Thank you for everything xxxx

The location is quiet but remote. The room furnishings were partly very basic. A member of staff explained the room safe to us. We were too stupid for that. Lots of mosquitoes at the pool. We had previously been on a tour of Java and had tasty food there. In this hotel the food simply didn't taste of anything. We were then served fresh chili to season it. But the food lacked spices. Overall a disappointing stay.

Spent a week here and enjoyed my time relaxing and scuba diving. The staff were very attentive and the room was really nice. Large grounds to walk around and the food was good at the restaurant. The diving centre offered trips each day, which I thoroughly enjoyed. The team was great and the diving was unexpectedly good - I’d done no research. Nice to be in this part of Bali. Transfer was well organised from the airport, and the spa massage was great ! I will hopefully be back

In our opinion, the Lumbung suites look fantastic but our children stayed in the Bayview suites and my wife and I both would have preferred to have stayed there. The Bayview suites are all on one floor with an outside (private) bathroom that was beautiful.

Yes, they organize such trip. And there is another hotel I have stayed last year, Prui Dajuma, is also a good place to stay if you want to explore national park. Dajuma service is even better than Naya Gawana, it is right by the beach and have marvelous sunset. But it is a bit away from ,enjangan, about 80 mins by car, if you plan to go diving, it is not that convenient.
"There's a beach club nearby (20min by car), the Octagon, where you can have lovely food /cocktails and use a the pool all day (with monkeys and deers everywhere). "
There are more places to choose from in the Banyuwedang area.
