Staff: The front desk were great at accommodating our group needs. They organised taxis, snorkeling gear, a last minute addition of a bed at 9pm when one of the kids got sick and needed to change rooms, cooked our fish free of charge, complimentary toast for another sick member of the party. (side note: illness probably caught on the airplane not in Bali, definitely not food related)
Food: Easily some of the best food that we have eaten in Bali ever! Breakfast portions are small but very well made. There are a lot of good options and you can choose from a hot menu and a cold menu item. To start with some of us only ordered one item. I would suggest trying something off both if you like a bigger breakfast. We pre - ordered off the menu the day before because we were such a large group. The coffee was really good coffee machine coffee. Some of the children requested items not on the menu and they were able to accommodate requests.
Dinner and lunch menu were so good we didn't actually try many other places. Every meal that came out was really good and again being such a large group we sampled most of the menu! One of our group is an avid fisherman and says that the fish we caught was the best cooked fish he's ever had.
Tips: If you are looking to snorkel or fish, order a boat from the beach front of the hotel. Save yourself a taxi ride. The beach front itself is not good to walk on but lovely to look at.

You can walk to Jemeluk which is a protected bay suitable for snorkeling.
The setting is very very nice if you are close to the sea. The cabins are made in a traditional style, which immediately transports you, however the sound insulation is average. Small downside for the swimming pool which is cloudy. The staff is very nice,
The beach is beautiful and sparsely built around but not very suitable for snorkeling.
No breakfast buffet, the restaurant serves well-made meals.
Be careful if you ask the hotel about going on a snorkeling trip with the fishermen, who commission the owners, they will tell you that no more than 2 people per boat are required. This is false, refuse, plenty of fishermen offer their services you will not have difficulty finding.
Furthermore, for catering there is little decent offer within walking distance of the hotel (be careful at night without public lighting). Go opposite Warung Long Hapyness or further away at Galanga, you will not be disappointed.

The staff are very friendly and courteous and are happy to help quickly with any questions.
Breakfast is served in the open-plan restaurant, which also offers a view of the sea.

Santai was a refreshing change from the maddening crowds of Ubud - it was peaceful and beautiful. There are views of the volcano on Lombok and on Bali. Just stunning.
The rooms are super traditional with a nice outdoor bathroom. Tea and coffee is served on your balcony every morning. The pool is clean and warm with the beach on the doorstep. The restaurant served absolutely amazing food, drinks and cocktails and the staff were lovely. We had breakfast, lunch and dinners there.
We hired snorkelling hear from a hotel 5 mins down the beach. The snorkelling on the beach is crazily good! The sea was super warm - and there’s lots of good coral and fish.
My husband has a massage on the day bed overlooking the ocean.
Wished we had stayed much longer than 2 nights. Could easily have made it 2 weeks!

The staff are wonderful, the setting is stunning and so relaxing.
Breakfast is great and coffee to your deck in the morning is a lovely touch.
It’s a decent walk into town, but there are a few restaurants in close walking distance and they can organise a taxi for you at reception. A great place to stay for a few days diving and some relaxing

The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. There is a water dispenser in the lobby that you can use for free.
If you can overlook a few infrastructural deficiencies, you will find it very great and very personal.
