This place was an absolute santuary after a month travelling and trekking in Nepal! Nestled right on the beach, Blue Star offers fantastic genuinely friendly service by a small group of locals from nearby hillside villages. We stayed in the family bungalow which was perfect for the four of us. Clean and tidy with a four-poster queen bed downstairs and...

We had the upstairs room overlooking the beach front property. It was old but clean. The bathroom was from the seventies era & water went everywhere when using the shower, it needs updating!. It was only fan cooled but it was so hot we wished we had an air con. The sun sets on the side of this room &...

The female staff were very good and friendly. But two male staff tried to double charge the water from mini-bar. We used two bottle of water, but when checked out on Saturday morning, the two male staff tried to charge double, one of them (the older) said: He only believed God. The boss should use female staff for counting mini-bar...

We came here again and again. This place is a tiny piece of paradise. Now even more attractive with new rooms in the backyard overlooking Jemeluk bay. Staff is welcoming and attentive. Cleanliness is a must. Free tea/coffee, those thick fruit juices, fresh fish from fishermen catch. Indulge on the shore under those large umbrella trees. Look the distant horizon...

This was our second stay here this year. The entrance is non-descript but is currently under road resurfacing. Downstairs from the car park is a whole new world! Tree shaded covered eating areas, both in the hotel grounds and on the beach. Lounges, umbrellas and a glorious living reef 4 steps into the water. The sea was clear and mostly...

This is a really welcoming place to stay right on the beach at Jemeluk Bay. The room was spotless and extremely comfortable. You couldn't meet nicer people than Illuh and Nengah the owners. Nothing is too much trouble. Very nice snorkelling in the bay and nice scenery in the surrounding area.

We were very unhappy with the Divers Inn and moved to the Blue Star, right at the eastern end of the beach at Amed. The staff were excellent and their understanding of and spoken English was very good. We were shown to a room that had a bad and penetrating odour and they offered an upgrade for the same price....

The owners of Blue Star, Nengah and Iluh, grew their dream of sharing the magic of their beautiful family beach with others. Located on the most popular snorkeling beach, Blue Star has its own cafe and a number of different options- from solo travelers to family. I loved the attention to detail in the cleanliness, service, and friendliness. The air...

We stayed a couple of nights in this hotel which has a great location. It is on one of the nicest beaches of Amed and there is a very good snorkeling spot just in front of this hotel, which attracts some people on this beach. We had an upper room which I recommend as it has a nicer view. The...

The driver was waiting for me and we had a good trip he was a very safe driver. My room was very clean with lovely homey touches with flowers on the bed and in the huge bathroom. Each...
