We checked in on Wednesday October 6, at 2 pm and was treated to a poor customer service from the beginning . We asked them if we could order lunch and they refused point blank that we do not serve ala carte menu or room service, kept going back to our booking. Ok we said they’d fine, then they do not have wifi in the rooms, we met that go to. We were told they do not provide room service, we have pics of served food outside other guests room. I will post it . Then we asked them for ice in the room, again we were told to walk to the restaurant in the rain to pick ice up as they do not bring it to the room. That was also charged 150 RS, pls note the refrigerator in the room was not working and we had to ask for a replacement. Next morning , we go to the reception to request late checkout, without asking our room number, the person say No point blank for late checkout, for Pete’s sake it’s Thursday, hotel has only 10 families. So we are now checking out at 10:30, it’s a very disappointing vacation. Only the view is good the rest be prepared to be treated to very untrained staff!!!!

Whilst staying on this topic, please find our clarifications towards your concerns below: 1) Room Service & À La Carte Service: We always keep wondering why our patrons keep on mentioning the concern of Room Service & À La Carte Service when as we do not have - published NOT ONLY on our website BUT ALSO on all Online Channel Partners, (The option of aforementioned service/s is disabled), however, as a special case, at our discretion, we do extend the same during low occupancy & with limited dishes for people with DIFFERENTLY-ABLED PEOPLE / PREGNANT LADIES / INFANTS / SENIOR CITIZENS. You have booked via our website – all non-operational services were duly mentioned on not only on our website but also on the booking confirmation voucher too. 2) Wi-Fi: We certainly have Wi-Fi available in designated areas near reception and we are at mercy of only one local service provider – again with their service too, the service is intermittent !! If one desires a good break, our resort is certainly IDEAL, in that case, one does not want to be disturbed – in a way one can take Intermittent Wi-Fi and Mobile Connectivity in a positive way. Also, again, our EVER EAGER Wonderful Front Office Team is always Happy to assist in case you wanted to speak to someone – they usually assist by allowing 1 - 2 phone calls from the Official Mobile Phones - again - we never got any information regarding the same. 3) As regards to the picture that you posted with the perception that we served the food to the guest, we would like to let you know that, we DID NOT serve the same any guest/s. The guest themselves carried the same. 4) Yes, ice in Ice-bucket is chargeable and the same was announced while you asked for the same, if one buys Liquor from us, we supply ice in Ice-Bucket without any charge. As regards to Refrigerator – we take complete onus for it’s malfunction and kindly accept our apologies towards the same, though, It was identified as a technical fault; it was duly checked and it was fully operational before the room was allotted to you. 5) Late Check-Out: Even though there were fewer rooms on the date of your Check-In, however, allowing Late Check-Out is entirely at the discretion of Management and on the day of your Check-Out we had a group booking check-in by Noon, hence, had to ensure readiness of the allotted rooms. 6) Employee Training: We keep on training our employees which is a cyclic process round the year. Many of them are new at this time of the year, hence, it’s their first interaction in the Service / Hospitality Industry. They are certainly doing their best & like any Service / Hospitality / Manufacturing / Processing / Any Industry, we are in constant process to groom them to be the best soon. Why should I go here - Great views - nice, clean, spacious cottages Why should I not go here - heavy rains means no views , which is the USP of this place over others - no room food delivery (I got milk for kid from restaurant to room in heavy rains - imagine my plight) - food is hygienic, but lacks taste. Generally sweet. - costly buffet 1200 per person (no ala carte) - gloomy faces - approach road broken and narrow (not a big deal if you have car with high ground clearance) I got spacious cottage in 8200/- for one night incl breakfast via MMT.

Even with the existing road, our resort has witnessed the vehicles with High & Low Ground Clearance right from Auto Rickshaw, Nano to Rolls Royce Phantom, Ferrari, Porsche, Ford Mustang etc., hence, clearing the dark clouds of restriction to accessibility to our resort. 4) Regarding Food, our efforts have been always to ensure that we serve the best food across Lonavala, an attempt is to satisfy everyone, even though we are well aware that, in the matter of food, taste do differ from person to person. Had an excellent staycation at Upper day. We stayed in the resort for 2 days n it was very relaxing experience. To start with the- 1. service n the staff was very prompt;2. location/ambiance was perfect with a valley view from almost all their rooms;3. food was the best part of all, buffet with so many options, we loved the nonveg dishes especially and lastly the about the 4. sanitation n all precautions were strictly followed by the staff. As per the govt norms we could also access the swimming pool which was cherry on the top. All in all great place for family with so many activities to do, for food lovers n for ppl who perfer to just lay back n relax. So i would give Service- 5 stars Ambience- 5 stars ( its best in rainy season) Food- 5 stars (morning breakfast was my fav) Would love to visit again…

We family of four stayed in last week of August in 2 cottage rooms ..... The room had fantastic view of valley.........The location and surrounding was great............ Food was excellent with very good starters and meals......We stayed in mid week but still had a wide variety of food to choose from.... The rooms need maintenance as it looks old. Also cleaning of balcony is a concern as we could spot cigaratte butts and beer bottle tops on the roof of the below room which put us off...... Also we had bachelors in adjacent room who were up till late night and even crossing over to our balcony............When one is with family the allocation of rooms need to be carefully done especially on weekdays when many rooms are empty. The service was great. Overall a decent experience though I would have expected more at this cost.

We stayed here for 2 nights and we took the full meal plan which was 1200 per meal and we were served the same food all 4 times with just different names...starters in the lunch were served the next day in dinner... food was ok but you cannot serve the same thing everyday after charging a bomb per plate.. because you know ppl are not going to go out for meals.. Property is good .. far from the main market so you have to take full meal plan... really disappointed with food but overall the property is beautiful and service staff is very good and polite.
