The family who run this hotel really made our stay there special. They are very friendly and fun and will do anything to help you. Although there is no restaurant Mercy cooks a lovely breakfast and other meals if you ask. Matthew arranged a boat trip and motorbike hire for us. The location is on a lovely quiet road very...

We stayed here for a couple of nights and it was a lovely end to our trip. The cottages are basic but such good value for money, we loved sitting outside on our balcony at night drinking tea and watching the fireflies. Mercy is a lovely host and helped us organise a canoe trip and amazing massages! We could have...

We spent two nights at Palmy Lake with our 3 children, and a third night on a houseboat arranged by the owners. All in all, a great stay. Mercy and Bigi, who own the place, are wonderful hosts, offering great advice and information. The breakfasts were good and reasonably priced. We also enjoyed meals in town at Cream Corner, and...

My wife and I stayed here for 3 nights as part of our trip to Kerala - one night would have been enough. Nothing wrong with the resort but there is nothing of interest in Alleppey and a two hour motor boat trip on the backwaters was more than long enough. There appeared to be some nice walks in the...

We spent there last December for 2 nights as a jump board to the backwaters. We arrived by train and the lady sent immediately a rickshaw to pick us up at no cost. The rooms, or bungalows, are of quality construction, and clean. You have suffiecient privacy in a warm and green garden. The main house, inhabited by the family...

We stayed in the house as the cottages were full. The room was clean and pretty spacious, as well as excellent value. The gardens were great with hammocks for all. We booked a private small boat in the daytime, which I would throroughly recommend. Our guide/boat owner was very friendly and took us down some lovely little canals and shared...

A really nice, relaxing place to stay, with wonderful owners! The cottages were full so we stayed in a room inside the house - less secluded but able to have more of a 'home stay' experience. Had some nice chats with Macy and she even let me 'help' her cook! The food was lovely home-style Kerala cuisine, which we ate...

We stayed at Palmy Resort over the New Year period. The resort was very busy at this time; all the cottages were occupied and the family who run the Resort had also let out some rooms in the main house. While we were there we saw a number of prospective guests without reservations being turned away as the Resort was...

Very well-managed place with clean, comfortable huts in a peaceful spot out of town (quick/cheap rickshaw trip into town). We enjoyed our stay here and appreciated the owner's help organizing a canoe trip into the backwaters. Thought we'd be hot without A/C, but the well-designed, well-shaded huts don't retain heat (unlike most cement places we've stayed). Good breakfasts and nice...

We stayed here two nights with our children. The garden is quit and nice and the place is nicely located outside town and has several tracks with beautiful walks around. We found the rooms ok but a bit dull but the hosts were very hospitable. We went on a half-day paddling around the backwaters from palm beach resort 1 km...
