Visited for one night as part of a Geckos/Intrepid tour. On the journey up the river from Alappuzha was anticipating with trepidation the possibility of staying in a homestay in the backwaters of Kerala - doesn't really counjure the best of images in you're mind when you've stayed in some pretty basic guesthouses etc in the week before. But was...

Beautiful accommodation right on the banks of the Kerala Backwater. The owner Gopal took us for a very interesting walk around the village. The food was home cooked and delicious and the rooms comfortable. Good beds and a great shower. We also had a swim in the water there and it was beautiful. Highly recommended. I believe soon they will...

This family run homestay is just brilliant. What a find! Lovely big home, rooms well laid out with great ensuite bathrooms for every room! Not what I expected for a homestay. The owner was very friendly and took us on a wonderful evening walk around the village explaining the history and surroundings. Highly recommended.

After watching our Intrepid guide (Anant) and Vinit greet each other so warmly I had a feeling this was going to have a homely touch. The only disappointment was we only had one night there. Vinit's orientation walk was informative and fun. The canoe ride back peaceful, until the boatman had some sort of Asthma attack? The rooms were clean,...

We arrived with high expectations given other trip advisor reviews but were disappointed. First, let me start by saying the food was delicious and freshly prepared. Definitely some of the best we've had in Kerala. And we really enjoyed the Village walk and the ability to walk out the door and meander along canals on our own. But aside from...

Spent couple of days relaxing here. Excellent location and one gets the perfect Kerala hospitality in Ayan's. Enjoyed every moment talking to Vinit and his family. Staying here was the feast for us trying all different and very delicious local food cooked by family. Very peaceful place for practising yoga and meditation. One must try staying here while traveling in...

Beautiful and relaxing experience and exceeded expectations in every way. Service is above and beyond. Authentic travel experience with added luxuries. Step back in time and treat yourself to the quiet, tranquility and simplicity of traditional village life in the backwaters of Kerala away from the hustle and bustle of modern day India.

We stayed here towards the end of our Intrepid Southern India Food Tour. It was so beautiful and such a contrast to other places that we had visited. The family welcomed us into their home and provided some very beautiful, home-cooked food. The rooms were very comfortable and the sunset walk around the village was great.

We only stayed with Vinit and his family for one night but it was a great experience. The family were incredibly welcoming and made us feel at home immediately. Throughout our stay they were attentive but never pushy. The house is beautifully situated on the river pampa and the rooms at the front of the property have incredible views. We...
