A little bit confused about this place, I don't understand why it is so highly rated. To be fair, you will have a wonderful view from the homestay and the staff is nice. But the rates are so high that I expected more. The rooms are basic as budget hotel rooms. The breakfast is average. Some of the reviews talked...

This place is tucked away from the crowds and fronts the river where you can sit on the balcony and watch the houseboats pass you by. We were there in the off season so had the place to ourselves and were very well looked after by the local owners. Lovely rooms and very reasonable prices. Highly recommended.

Had a great 1 night stop here after our boat trip. Great little spot and run by very friendly and helpful family. Had an upstairs room with a balcony to watch the passing boats at a very reasonable rate. All very clean. It was in monsoon so didnt have to contend with any other travellers and the boat traffic was...

I stumbled upon this homestay after doing some reading online. I wasn't able to find their email and couldn't call from abroad, so I contacted them via facebook (their facebook came up after a quick google search). To my surprise, they responded the same day and supplied me with their email address and confirmed a room, based on my preference....

During Christmas holidays 2013/14 with my hsuband we have been travelling in Kerala 3 weeks. We found this place through a french guide. It is nice BUT the traffic of house boat and other's is very loud during the day. The rooms are nice but completly without soundproofing, so just hope you have discreet neighbours. Last thing is the price......

A great value, friendly family-run place situated right on a backwater so you can sit outside your room and watch the kingfishers and cormorants. Breakfast is served in lovely courtyard garden overlooking the water with freshly made pineapple juice which is pure heaven. The owners and manager were very helpful, organising canoe- and boat-hire and taxi to airport. Meals are...

My girlfriend stumbled across this amazing little place. We took a gamble and booked over the phone whilst travelling from Kochi by taxi and it turned out to be one of the best hotels of our 5 week trip. It's a little family run hotel along a nice smaller backwater channel. The rooms are large and clean, with mosquito nets,...

As we were looking for a cheap place where to stay in Alleppey, we were not expecting much when arriving. We discovered a charming place in the middle of the backwaters. We took the basic rooms which are simply furnished but clean. Breakfast served on the terrasse facing the water: lovely! We received very good advices from the manager who...

Outside of the crowded Alleppey city, right on the canals, it is located this very peaceful and beautiful homestay. The owner Thomas is very kindly and his pineapple juice is amazing and regenerating in the hot indian afternoons. The bamboo house we got was very suggestive, with a tree in the open air bathroom, though the bed was not the...

Absolutely gorgeous and it's a must if staying in alleppey. Great and friendly staff and our room for 2,500 per night was an absolute storm for 2 people. Great space in the room and a lovely large balcony over looking the backwaters. It is set back just a bit more than the others but this gives you the chance to...
