Amazing trip to the battlefields. The Zulu dancing and singing was genuine and not the "canned" variety. Unexpected birthday present for hubby was thoughtful. Hosts could have been around more instead of having to search for them. Three or four flat tyres on camp vehicles on a Saturday was laziness. I would recommend this beautiful lodge.

The lodge managers, Nicole and Manus are excellent hosts and all of the staff are delightful. We enjoyed wonderful days in the peace of this exhilarating landscape spotting wildlife either on game drives from the...

Taking into consideration that all properties in Roarkes Drift are expensive we found this not up to our expectations. Very eco, no fridge, tv or internet and whilst the staff were excellent not sure cost was justified and would not recomend.

Thank you for your comments. This is a remote destination and as such wifi is not something that is easy to get in the area. We will pass your comments on to our Operations Manager who will take your comments into consideration as we strive to improve guest experiences. Regards, Dee Wilson

A wonderful place away from all anxiety and stress. The view from the pool to the incredible expanse of KwaZulu-Natal will remain unforgettable. Even though it is a hard place to get to and try not to get there in the dark. The place is sooo wonderful that it is worth the drive. Rooms are clean and very comfortable. It can never be too busy because they only have 6 huts and by huts I mean really nice huts. The food is absolutely...

Beautiful setting. Individual rondavels in Zulu style are comfortable and delightful. We had a wonderful guided tour of the local Zulu battlefields with local guide Mike Nel. The second day our hosts took us out for a game drive and a picnic. Very relaxing place to stay with great service.
