The hotel was nice. Was walking distance to most of Gatlinburg, Also was right at the entrance to the State park and Pidge forge bypass. They offered grab and go breakfast and had nice little fires outside for us to sit and enjoy. The rooms were clean and the balconies on the river added a nice touch.

We were greeted at the check in desk by friendly employee. During our stay this was a recurring experience. The room was clean, the river view was very nice. Would definitely recommend a stay, as we plan to return.

My Daughter had reserved a room for her and her family back in February at the Bearskin Lodge on the River Hotel in Gatlinburg, because she and my son-in-law had gotten their COVID-19 vaccine for being in Medical I wasn’t sure if I would be able to spend a wonderful weekend in the Smoky’s with them and two of my other grandchildren we wanted to be able to have the four children to spend their first spring break and first ever mountain visit at he Great Smoky Mountains. So about a week before they were going to leave I got the ok for traveling, I honestly didn’t think I would be able to get a room but fortunately there was a room available although we wouldn’t be together I still reserved it. I called the Bearskin lodge back to see if there were any changes; none, that I was very disappointed but decided to go with my two grandchildren so they could be with their cousins to their first adventure to the amazing Smoky mountains. When I checked in and my daughter checked in our rooms were right next to each other ! We were so... happy! The four grandchildren loved it!!! Perfect! The balcony was amazing to sit out and listen to the river rushing, so relaxing. I couldn’t believe how nice it was and how close it was to the first trail into mountains! We enjoyed our stay and we are hoping to return with even more family! Thank you to the manager and his staff for letting us have a wonderful memory of our time together at the amazing Bearskin Lodge in the beautiful Great Smoky Mountains.

Bearskin Lodge is always our first choice when visiting the Smokeys. Not only is right off of the main Gatlinburg strip, the service and hospitality is unlike many other competitors in the area. The log cabin theming is fully realized with high quality taxidermy adorning the walls upon first entering the lobby. There's a fully stocked snack, drink, and convenience rack in case you realize you had forgotten something. Not to mention diapers for those with little ones. It's incredibly thoughtful, and the staff is always going above and beyond. The pool has a fully functioning lazy river, and jacuzzi. No matter which direction you happen to be facing on your room balcony, you're either getting a gorgeous view of the mountains and the pool, or a wonderfully shaded peaceful stream. Free parking. Walking distance to everything on the Gatlinburg strip. An awesome family owned convenience store called Old Dad's right across the street with just about anything you could imagine for a vacation. A wine tasting storefront across from Old Dad's. Excellent breakfast at Crocket's Breakfast Camp within a few feet of the convenience store. Our room was always fully stocked with delicious coffee (not the weird cardboard tasting stuff most hotels have). A beautiful gas fireplace. Some of the most comfortable beds my girlfriend and I have slept on. This all sounds like very high praise, but I would 110% recommend this to couples, friends, and families alike.

Perfect location if you want to stay in town. Everything walkable, Staff friendly, clean place and good rates. Quiet location if you discount the babbling brook outside your window! Lots of good eats close by and breakfast on the 3rd floor!
