The Baumann family makes you a part of their own when you stay at Golden Eagle Lodge. I have been staying at their campground for the past three years a couple times each summer. Sometimes with family, sometimes with friends, but every time has been special thanks to Golden Eagle. The campground is clean, quiet and friendly. The lake is...

$90 plus a minimum charge for gas for a four hour rental on a pristine lake (Flour Lake) off the Gunflint Trail. Fabulous spot, good fishing and relaxing boat ride. Only saw a couple other boats and some canoes. About 30 minutes from Grand Marais. Friendly and accommodating place. Caught lots of large and smallmouth bass.

Golden Eagle lodge was wonderful. Cabin was cozy and everything we had hoped for. Area had the best fishing. The walleye and bass were literally jumping in the boats. Highly recommend this resort. The folks were super friendly and we plan on going back next year!!

We had an absolutely fantastic stay at Golden Eagle Lodge. The lake and the area are secluded and gorgeous. The staff at the Lodge provided everything we needed. They were helpful without being intrusive. Everything was exactly as it was represented to be by the lodge. In the end, we had a nearly flawless vacation, and will definitely be returning.

This is a great little campground and cabin for getting away. Friendly staff and up north feel. Unfortunately communication with booking was complex when maneuvering a reservation to a different cabin with the same number of nights. We hope the owners would understand that miscommunications happen. Otherwise rating would be higher.

This was a fantastic place to call our base for the many adventures we enjoyed in the area. The cabins are exceptionally clean and the campground bathrooms are the cleanest I've ever used. The staff is friendly and excited to tell you about things to do in the area and answer any questions you may have. The resort is very...

My husband and I have stayed at Golden Eagle Lodge more times than we can count. Both for some of the best cross country skiing in the country and for quiet get aways with friends. Teresa, Dan and family are fantastic lodge keepers. Cabins are all pretty unique so ask them what you are looking for and they will be...

We have been skiing on the Golden Ealge/Bearskin ski system for over 15years. We started staying at Golden Eagle Lodge at least 10 years ago. We love the family owned atmosphere, how clean the cabins are (we compare all other places we stay to GE, haven't found anyplace cleaner or more friendly. We also have stayed in the Fall, wonderful!...

First things first. We didn't actually stay in one of Golden Eagles cabins. We have a hard side camper and did stay in their campground. There was my wife and I, our three adult children and our dog. They only have nine campgrounds so it was peaceful and quiet. We stayed from a Tuesday through a Saturday. The ownership were...

We were interested in canoeing on Flour Lake for just a few hours. It was my son's first canoe experience and we didn't need a day long experience. The staff at Golden Eagle Lodge are great! They gave us information on where to find the best wildlife sightings, where to hike and where to eat! Great people! We stayed in...

“All cabins have views of the lake with your own personal dock. There is a lot of privacy. There is a nice beach with a public dock.”

“Some cabins are pet friendly during the non-skiing months but inquire them. Cabins have full kitchens so bring your own food for cooking. No on-site dining but you can drive a short distance to some Gunflint Trail eating options. Nearest full stocked grocery store is in Grand Marais which is about 30 miles away. Look out for moose on the trail if you come up.”
