Once again, our annual 7 night stay at Cross River Lodge flew by! We leave today full to the brim with great memories to cherish. We are so grateful for this beautiful place tucked away in one of the most beautiful places on earth! John and Rose are truly amazing hosts! Not a single detail is overlooked. The cabins are...

We had an entire cabin that sleeps six to ourselves and our two big dogs (they loved it as well.) We cooked most of our meals and ate on the deck overlooking Gunflint Lake. So quiet, peaceful and romantic. When we felt like company we took our drinks down to the screened in porch of the lodge and enjoyed many...

We had the best time at Cross River Lodge! We went as a mini-vacation/anniversary get away in mid October. It was one of the best experiences at a Lodge we have ever had. John and Rose were unbelievably accommodating and so nice! It had a bed and breakfast feel to it but with tons of privacy at the same time....

We just spent our fifth vacation in a row at Cross River Lodge this past July. We stay in a cabin called "Up North" and it's perfect for us. The owners, John and Rose, are welcoming, friendly, and fun. The "made to order" breakfasts by John--every day--are superb! Can't wait until next year. Is it July yet?

We stayed at Cross River Lodge for the first time in late September....a beautiful place and beautiful hostess and host. In years of stays in the area, these are top notch lodge suites, great breakfast and all around just down to earth people. We are talking to our family about a possible wedding and retreat there next year...just find us...

We have been visiting this resort for the past 14 years - with multiple visits many of those years. The serenity, beauty and customer service are just a few of the reasons we make this resort our destination year after year. With no cell service up the Gunflint Trail and limited internet access (and grocery stores) - you can truly...

Cabin was very clean and more modern than expected. The view from our cabin was right on the lake so it was an added bonus. You will need to bring food with you or drive back to Grand Marias to grocery shop. John and Rose were great hosts. I would recommend this property to friends and family.

In addition to the outstanding service and absolutely lovely cabins, they have now added a most delicious breakfast each morning included in the cost. John and Rose keep you wanting to come back for more because of their open nature and great personalities. Thank you once again for an outstanding two weeks. We have no hesitation about returning in the...

Our family has been coming to Cross River Lodge for the last 4 years and this year we extended our trip to 10 days and it still wasn't long enough! The hospitality of John, Rose and their staff is second to none. The breakfast is fantastic and the rooms are clean, spacious and comfortable. It is the most relaxing vacation...
