We did an overnight on our way to Grand Portage to complete our Global Entry. The serenity and attention to detail was wonderful. Our room was perfect and we had a comfortable sleep number bed. The solarium and dining room both were exquisite and our breakfasts of the wild blueberry pancakes and hiker omelet with salmon was super! We hope...

We had an all-too-short one night stay at the Naniboujou Lodge and will definitely be back! Our little room had two twin beds (with absolutely lovely hand-quilted bedspreads from an Amish woman in Iowa and her two daughters - there was a little plaque on each bed with the info), a dresser from the original 1920s clubhouse, two chairs and...

A step back to when times were less complicated and enjoying the property and it's surroundings was eventful and occupied most of ones day. A walk on the expansive beach, skipping countless rocks on the water. Relaxing by a warm beach fire on a cool evening. Swimming in the Brule river or searching for agates and colorful stones. Driftwood collectors...

We love Naniboujou, having first found it in 1978. It is not for everyone - no phones, cell service, wifi, television, alcohol in the dining room but if you are in need of quiet contemplation, this is the best place for it. The staff has always been like family, the rooms are cozy (we had #11 with a wood burning...

We loved this lodge. It is absolutely beautiful inside and the dining room is a site to see. I was a little worried about the lack of phone service, TV and Internet particularly with a 12 yo. We had so much fun playing games in the solarium that she didn't even notice. We were the only group with children; it...

We stopped for lunch on the opening day of the current season and I had the best meal of my two month visit to my old home state of Minnesota. Our waitress was a highly competent and friendly young woman who was truly professional and unobtrusive. The food was superb.....I had a delicious French onion soup with an excellent club...

Staying here twice now, I can honestly say I have never felt so loved, taken care of and at home by the Naniboujou staff. Not only do they provide for your every need but they go above and beyond and remain so selfless in serving you- every need was met, the rooms were clean and comfortable, the view spectacular, the...

We booked the entire lodge for a bookclub retreat and it was amazing. The fireplace was the focal point of the great room, and the food served was fabulous. The rooms are small and comfortable and most have great views of Lake Superior. No TV's or internet, and it is so far north that cell phone coverage is spotty. Great...

I spent Halloween weekend at Naniboujou with members of my book club. We were celebrating our 20th anniversary. It was great. We were the only people at the lodge as it is closed for the season except for groups like us. The staff was so accommodating, the food was very good and certainly plentiful. The historic lodge was so interesting...
