For several years we've been join up to Grand Marais during the winter months to spend a long weekend with friends. Last year while driving around on the Gunflint Trail we stumbled upon The Bearskin Lodge. It was a beautiful place. Right then and there we booked a 4 day weekend for early October (2014). Our timing couldn't have been...

Thank you for the kind words! We're glad you loved your cabin. We remember you went out moose looking that morning -- hope you had luck spotting one. Bearskin has a different chef almost every season, and the chef plans the featured menu. It was an unusual menu this fall, and we won't repeat this one. Our weekend winter chef,...

Best accommodations and Service on the Gun Flint Trail. Picked fresh blueberries, canoed/portaged on East Bearskin to Crocodile Lake and more. Excellent hiking trails. Great beach, boats, canoes, kayaks and playground. Just in from our annual trip - 14th year in Cabin #2!

Stayed at Bearskin for 1week beginning Aug.2, 2014. Three generations including 11 and 14 year old boys. Stayed in one of the cabins. Fished, swam, canoed, picked blueberries. Loved every minute. Cabin was nicely furnished. Staff terrific. Will return.

Just returned from a 3 day family get-away at Bearskin Lodge and it was wonderful. This was our first time staying this far into the Gunflint Trail and I expect we could not have asked for a better experience. This is a peaceful and tranquil place. Each cabin/lodge has its own dock and we had the whole row of four...

The wife and I stayed at Bearskin Lodge the night before our entry into Boundary Waters. We got up there a little late so we didn't get much time to enjoy all the lodge has to offer but we were impressed. There was a nice hot tub house, sauna, lodge, and lake available to guests. There seemed to be plentiful...

We had dreamed of a fishing vacation to BWCAWA for years. We knew nothing of this lodge when planning began, but found outstanding reviews for it wherever we looked. There were five family members in our group and all had a fantastic time. The boats were nearly new, well maintained, and fully equipped. The cabins were clean comfortable, and were...

We stumbled across Bearskin Lodge while taking a daytrip to the Gunflint Trail a couple years ago and had talked booking a Gunflint Trail vacation there since then. This past week we finally did, and our stay at Bearskin exceeded all expectations. We are a family of five, and booked Lodge #2 to get three bedrooms all on the second...

We did the outfitter part that they offer back in Aug of 2012. They were so nice and helpful. The price is pretty comparable for all you get. They Provided everything! We only had to pack our clothes. The Trip was 3 nights out in the boundary waters. They gave us a kevlar canoe with food, tent, etc. They showed...

Our family of 9 spent the week between Christmas and New Years. Temps bottomed out at. -30, but we loved every minute. The skiing is spectacular, the scenery second to none. Warm toasty cabin, with ski trails right outside the door. The best place in the north woods!

We are a family of 11 and visited Bearskin during the first week of January. We shared two cabins and enjoyed a wonderful experience all around. From the warm welcome we received at check in, to the delightful service of hot cocoa and wine in the lodge on a snowy afternoon, to the staff answering questions and assisting us with...
