The Belton Chalet is beautifully restored inside and out! The staff were so helpful and friendly. Gave us wine glasses and visited with us as we enjoyed our wine. A fire in the fireplace added to the ambiance. Train sounded only twice during the night. Not an issue for us. The only suggestion for improvement would be to fix the...

Belton Chalet was our fifth and final lodge of a three week tour of national park lodges. We made our reservations a year ahead of time for a room with a balcony. Our room was clean and well-maintained. There is a limited amount of space for luggage, almost no drawer space, and few places to sit in the room, but...

We stayed here for two nights in the handicap accessible room. It had a queen size bed and a large bathroom and shower. It was very comfortable and clean. The room faced the woods. We only heard the trains starting about 7:00 or so in the morning and up until maybe 9:00 at night so it was not a problem...

Upside: very clean, good water pressure, and the restaurant menu is killer. Downside: it's on a highway and train line. But, you know this when you sign up! Definitely worth a trip to the restaurant even if you don't stay overnight. The bacon-wrapped filet was incredible.

Her wife and I were looking for a place to "clean up" ; ) after 3 days of camping in the back country in GNP. We made a last minute call to a couple of hotels and they were full. Luck must have been on our side when we called the Belton. They just had a cancellation, but it was...

We enjoyed the historic architecture and ambience, but wished we had a room facing the woods instead of the railroad tracks with loud trains coming through at night. They offer you earplugs at the desk. The room was very small. No kings... only queen-sized beds. No comfortable place to sit in your room... only on the bed. We knew there...

The Belton Chalet is part of the historic Great Northern Railway's development of the East Coast to West Coast railway system in the early 1900's. It is historic and in that regard it is a gem. We wanted that experience and chose to stay here as part of our exploration of Glacier National Park. The bottom line: The rooms are...

We didn't stay here but ate at the restaurant twice based on recommendations from locals. This is probably the best restaurant in town. It's a real "foodie" place. It felt like fine dining in a big city, whereas most places are full of hiking boots and students on summer break. Be prepared for a wait, but you can enjoy a...

We enjoyed staying at this historic chalet. The staff was very friendly. The restaurant was superb!!! Best part of the stay! Our only complaint is that the room was very warm. We knew there would be no A/C but didn't expect that with all of the windows open and a fan blowing that it would remain uncomfortably warm for the...
