My two cousins and I just spent 4 nights here in a water-view room with kitchen. Wow! The views of Lake MacDonald were amazing and sooo peaceful. After a day of hiking and exploring around glacier national Park, we would come home, get comfortable and have a glass of wine and appetizers and just zone out viewing the lake. It...

This was our one and only night staying at the Village Inn at Apgar and we were so excited. The check-in was quick and the staff very helpful. We were able to secure a parking space not far from the steps, as we had a second story room. The room and bathroom were small but clean. There was not a...

This 50's vintage motor inn exterior does not give a hint of the fabulous view that awaits you. Best view in the park. Lake McDonald is a few feet from the expansive glass window with the breathtaking Montana Rocky Mountains in the background. Postcard perfect. We stayed in Waterton Park and at Many Glacier Lodge before coming to the west...

I was on the second floor and asked for an end room. Perfect since people are not crossing your lake view all day. You really can't find a better view room. All the rooms face Lake McDonald. Rooms have recently been renovated. Smaller size but very pleaant.

We stayed on the second floor for 3 nights. We got a room with 2 queens and 1 twin, where 1 queen is in the bedroom. The 1 other queen and twin were in the main room as you enter the door right by the picture windows. The views were unbeatable! It was quite weird though to have people passing...

We have always wanted to stay at this motel, but were never fortunate to find a room available, until recently, so I jumped at the chance. We were amazed at how wonderful it really was. All of the rooms look out onto Lake McDonald… so every room has a view. At night, I was surprised that everyone was so quiet-you...

We have stayed at some of the “iconic” National Park Hotels (El Tovar, Old Faithful Inn) and this one is right up there with the best of them. A truly unique “hidden gem.” It’s essentially a 1950’s era motor lodge situated on the shore of one of the most picturesque mountain lake landscapes in the world. They have done a...

Great view from all rooms. 2 floor motel and all rooms are great. The view is awesome and the chairs provided on the patio are a nice touch. Right on the lake which is nice for kids and the beach. Close to Eddie's restaurant which is great for bfast. The remodel they did was awesome and the decor is new...

We spent three very comfortable nights in a "kitchen king": king size bed in the main room (bedroom/living room combo); fully equipped kitchen and full bathroom. In many ways more like a small apartment. We were on the ground floor with direct access to a terrace/patio overlooking Lake McDonald. As other reviewers have noted the view is exceptional; stunning. The...

Our stay here was spectacular. We stayed on the lower level in one of the kitchenette rooms and just thoroughly enjoyed cooking simple meals so that we could spend our time relaxing on the patio watching the view. The rooms are very clean and with good quality linens and towels. The history is part of the charm of these rooms...
