We've stayed at the Palace before, and thought we'd book again for a trip to Silver City for a Christmas-time family event. Overall, it was an enjoyable experience. Check-in was quick and easy, and although I had a lug a suitcase or two up to the second floor, that wasn't really a problem. The room was warm and comfy. It...

We enjoyed reading you review of appreciation for our 135 year old property and enjoyment of downtown Silver City. We are in the process of creating a new downstairs 600 square foot 'gallery suite', complete with a sitting area and flat screen television, king size bed, large bathroom and wet bar with refrigerator and microwave. Having this suite available will...

Part of me wants to give this place a 5. It has genuine charm and authenticity - a nice relief from all the cookie-cutter chain hotels. The property is spotlessly clean and the staff are lovely. Room rates are reasonable. And the location - in the heart of the historic part of town - is great. So in some ways...

We are happy you enjoyed many aspects of your stay and our desire to please when we were told of the issues you encountered. I can assure you the bed in your first room was new - not an original from the early 1900's. We find bed comfort is quite personal and are glad you slept well after you changed...

All the trappings that you would expect in an old time historical hotel. Heavy wood door frames, pedestal sink, but modernize touches added. Very comfortable bed. Nice stay. Free breakfast. Pretty basic continental breakfast.

This is a very well done renovation of an older building. Rooms vary in size and there is an online coupon that offers a ten percent discount, if presented at check in. Great hallway photos and helpful staff. Rooms can be small, but knowing that ahead of time will allow a selection you want. Near all the nicer places to...

We are pleased your enjoyed your stay at the Palace. Our rooms and suites do vary considerably in size, from 125 square feet to 350 square feet. On our website we do offer a coupon, but it cannot be used with on line booking sites. We do hope you will visit us again for a future visit

We chose the Palace because it is located downtown. Much quieter now that the Buffalo Bar is no longer there. It is lovely and the old time "feel " is great. The staff were helpful and very pleasant. The only draw back was the room was hot and took a long time to cool off. Because this is an old...

Thank you for letting us know of your appreciation of our historic property. Our downtown is much more quiet than in years past because of the bar's demise and lack of cars cruising on Bullard Street! We are in the process of creating a street level two room suite for our guests who cannot easily negotiate stairs. It should be...

This is a really nice historic hotel, built in 1882 I think. All rooms are upstairs. As befits such a property, the rooms are small, but well appointed and spotlessly clean. I found both front desk people I dealt with to be very friendly and helpful. The location is perfect -- right in the center of the old town. I...

Thank you for your lovely review of our historic property built in 1882. Our 9 rooms and 8 two room suites vary in size and presently we are creating a large downstairs suite for those who do not want to negotiate the stairs.

I would have to say, since I am from a town where old is the norm (Tombstone, AZ), I wasn't expecting all that much when I heard this hotel was from the 1880's. Boy, was I surprised! First of all, the staff goes WAY out of their way to make you feel welcome, and the decor is just beautiful, with...

I'd give this hotel 10 stars if I could. We absolutely loved it. the atmosphere is like walking into grandmas house which is not for everyone, but we liked it. The owners were extremely nice and accommodating. The staff are all friendly. When we had to leave because they were booked up and could not let us extend our stay...

Even if you do not stay here, stop by the lobby and have a look at this beautiful old hotel. It was built in 1882 and is on the National Register of Historic Places. The desk clerk was welcoming and graciously let me look around.

Stayed at the Palace for a week and enjoyed our entire time there. The staff was always helpful and friendly. Our rooms were large and quiet and we always had a good night's sleep.
