The Akwaaba Masion was the perfect seting for a very romantic birthday weekend. We where greeted with total warmth and hospitality by the very atentive inkeeper and staff. The masion was absolutely beautifal! You immediately feel that you've been telaported back in time upon entering. They have really done a great job of maintaining the historical integregity. The afternoon refresments...

This was our first stay in Brooklyn and certainly won't be our last. As we travelled with another couple from UK and met up with our friends from Michigan, the Akwaaba provides us with a perfect base to stay, precruise. We usually stay in hotels but our 1st BB stay in US far exceeded our expectations. Erica and Ryan provided...

I was looking for a nice place to stay for a getaway weekend in NYC with my girlfriend. Limited options and limited availability in Manhattan led me to Brooklyn, and ultimately to reserving the Jumping the Broom suite at Akwaaba. We just returned from the trip and couldn't be more thrilled with the entire experience. We checked in mid-afternoon Friday,...

Our room was big (Jumping the Broom Room), and they were able to roll a second bed in for our son. We still had plenty of room to move around. The bathroom had a separate jacuzzi tub and a stand-in shower-very big. The breakfasts were delicious and plentiful. I'd have to say that the best thing I liked was how...

I had the pleasure of staying at Akwaaba bed & breakfast and I must say that it was an incredible experience. The rooms was extremely clean and comfortable. The staff had a bubble bath prepared for us when we arrived that prompted a relaxing environment. The location was great let alone the breakfast that was served was absolutely AWESOME! I...

My husband and I were meeting up with four of our friends from the U.K. before leaving on a cruise leaving from the Brooklyn Cruise Terminal. None of us had ever been to Brooklyn before. The cruise was nice but for us the highlight was staying in Brooklyn at the Akwaaba Mansion. Erica's warm and welcoming greeting made us all...

This place is breathtaking, from the entrance to each area of the mansion. Upon arrival, the innkeeper, Erica, greeted me with a warm welcome, spinach pastry, lemonade and later surprised me with a bubble bath (including rose petals!!!). Aaahh... I missed my hubby, 3 y/o daughter and 3 month old son, but Mommy needed a breather before going back to...

I took my wife to Akwaaba for her birthday and we both didn't know what to expect. It was our first time at a Bed and Breakfast. Even though we stayed overnight, we had an amazing time. The location was perfect. The service was impeccable and my wife & i now refuse to stay at a regular hotel or anywhere...

My boyfriend and I just needed a get away to celebrate our 6yr anniversary. this was the perfect choice. The mansion was beautiful and the staff was AMAZING. You get the best treatment from the minute you make the call. Erica was wonderful and a delight to speak to. I will definitly be back to visit another room in the...
