It was great to receive so much information an advice from Mark, the host on what to do and where to go around Brooklyn. I have to commend him for giving his time and organise a whole schedule for me which was great in terms of getting around NY and making the most of my two days stay at the...

Mark is a very very nice guy~ The properties in the house are very nice and decent. The breakfast blueberry pancakes are so delicious!! We lived in the room named O'Neal and it has two single beds. In the night, the house is really really quiet and good for you to sleep and relax. I love the decoration style in...

We (myself and my two young adult children) stayed in The Lafayette rooms of the the Fort Greene Apartments. Mark, the Innkeeper, was extremely helpful, via a mini orientation, with maps, how to travel on the subway, interesting places in Brooklyn etc. If it is your first time to NYC, I would advise to allow time to for this. Adding...

We stayed in the Fort Greene Apartment on Washington Park. It was great. The apartment was nicely furnished and spacious. Very clean and pleasant. Close enough to the subway that it wasn't a real long walk. Lots of eating places available close by. Mark was very helpful.

We use the subway all the time, and Lefferts is quite close to a main station. Had dinner in manhattan multiple times, but our best meals were in Brooklyn, an Italian and Indian restaurant, that were both a 5 minute walk from Lefferts.

We stayed in the Lafayette and really enjoyed our stay. The apartment was massive and felt very welcoming. Mark sorted our transfers from the airport out and was always on hand when we needed any help. It was a 5 minute walk to the tube station and the local area was full of shops, cafes and restaurants. Great place to stay...

Had an apartment in Brooklyn, which was really great. I travel a lot and it was good to live in a place that wernt a hotel, but an apartment in the street. Felt more in tune with the place and the apartment had all the facilities needed, even a back garden. Just across the street, there was a grocery store...

Thank you so much to Mark and his family for making our first trip to the U.S so much fun! We were welcomed into a gorgeous parlour filled with gorgeous ethnic furniture, a killer book collection and free tea and coffee. After a long journey it was heaven to stand under a powerful shower which is still part-original from the...

Mark and his staff have been warm, welcoming, and full of good advice. The rooms were just like an English country manor, with big beds, fluffy pillows, and the overall feel of a cared-for turn of the (19th) century house. It was snowing in New York and very cold during my stay, but the heating was warm and the showers...
