Coming to Fairbanks on memorial weekend was very busy. During the booking of accommodations we have no idea that it was a memorial day. That's why most hotels are fully booked and the price were too high But we do hold a hotel in the center temporarily that we can cancel anytime until we found a better one with a... More

Thanks so much for writing. I am the owner and I have NO IDEA what you're talking about that the windows are bolted shut. Yes, they are shut with the locking device down, but you only have to lift the locking device to open them! This is Alaska and we don't keep windows open because it's so cold and the... More

We enjoyed our stay at the Minnie St. Inn and found it to be clean and comfortable. My biggest concern was that the windows were bolted shut, and could not be opened for ventilation (or escape, in the event of a fire). Since we were staying in an upstairs room with only one exit, I thought this was dangerous. There... More

Minnie Street Inn looks and is signed as a B&B but is not. The entrance door rug is labeled as B&B, the inside rug and wall signage is marked as a B&B. At onsite sign I was told by the college student Manager that Minnie Street Inn is and inn and inns do not serve food - news to me.... More

WE ARE IN TRANSITION!. After being a Bed AND BREAKFAST for 25 years, this year, we lowered our rates by $30 per night and decided that we would no longer serve breakfast, knowing that 1/2 block from us is a nice restaurant that serves breakfast. We are sorry for any misunderstanding that this has brought to anyone. Our website CLEARLY... More

This property is not a B&B. No meals are served and there isn't even a coffee maker in the room. All rooms are second story and there is no elevator. You have to remove your shoes before entering your room and in the office/kitchen (located across the gravel parking lot.) The property is for sale so one can only assume... More

Thanks for giving us your thoughts. We have lowered our rates by 20% and have stated very clearly that we do not do breakfast any longer. Our name is Minnie Street Inn, No longer Minnie Street Bed and Breakfast. Taking shoes off in Alaska is a way of life for the fact that we live with snow 8 months out... More

We spent there 3 nights. If you want to use their loundry service it costs 8 $. I think it's too expensive! The room was clean but you have to take you shoes off every time you enter in. There was NO breakfast. So, I think it's NOT a real bed & breakfast.

We have effort on our web site and other web site stating we are no longer a bed and breakfast. We are just a Bed. After 25 years of doing breakfast we have decided to lower our rates by 20% and still offer the same clean rooms with the use of a full kitchen to use. It has been interesting... More

Property was nice enough but one reason I booked my five days in Fairbanks here was to enjoy the "sumptuous breakfast" advertised on their web page. When we got there we were told that there was no breakfast, no coffeemaker in the room and no amenities. Not only disappointing but also costly.

Decor was attractive. Location was convenient to downtown area. Staff coached us on eating places and local activities. They were open when the train arrived. Actually there was no breakfast, it is just an Inn.

My daughter and I stayed for 4 nights. Beds very comfortable. Rooms very clean. Office managed by Brynn, who was very helpful. She was able to recommend things to do, and very happy to make reservations for us, and call cabs etc.

The B&B was very nice! Very nice room, and close to everything. I think the Fairbanks natives liked tea better than coffee (no coffee in room), but we had a key to the main office so we could make coffee at any time. Would definitely stay there again!!!

We stayed here for 3 nights in February. We didn't interact much with the innkeeper or the manager of the facility, but they seemed to be very nice and always offered to help us with our bags.
