If you ever venture to the Fairbanks area to view the spectacular aurora borealis, stay at Aurora Borealis Lodge at Cleary Summit for wonderful accommodations and an incredible view of the northern lights. Mok (the owner) and his wife Akiko, along with business partner Logan Ricketts, have built a cozy, well-equipped lodge and chalet for viewing the lights and "unplugging"...

We had five of us (two families) spent a few nights at the Aurora Borealis Lodge. Instead of staying in the individual rooms we chose the Logan's Chalet which was a single stand alone lodge with a single bedroom on the ground floor and a loft with two queen beds. This chalet is not on the same property with the...

I just returned from a 5 day trip that included myself, husband, sister and brother in law. We stayed in Logan's Chalet which was perfect for 2 couples. The kitchen is modern and the living area is cozy, complete with an electric fireplace in the island that divides the kitchen and living room. The upstairs loft has 2 beds, so...

The lodge is small in number of rooms but each room is of impeccable quality, spacious and with large windows for watching the Northern Lights. On 3 of our 4 nights we saw amazing, spectacular and breathtaking displays from the large comfortable couch in our rooms. Kitchen is well equipped. The management is cooperative, attentive and we rate this as...

We stayed for 4 night at the lodge in room 4 (downstairs). There were 4 of us total with me, my wife and our 2 kids (26 & 14). We arrived one day 1 and the room was very clean and roomy. With 4 of us sharing the room I had worried it might not have been large enough. Well...

We had a wonderful stay at the lodge. Accommodations were unbelievable. Mok made our visit very easy. Driving to the lodge was safe and clear roads. We got to see the Northern Lights on all 3 nights. Very convenient walkie-talkies in the room to notify us when the lights come out. The room was very lean and comfortable. The kitchen...

The accommodations are clean and have everything you need in the kitchen to make your meals. I was a bit nervous because I am a person who likes to stay in luxury places--it is rustic, but for viewing the Aurora, awesome! On nights when tour groups come here to the lodge to view, Mok gets on his walkie talkie to...

I read about this on trip advisor, and had to wait a year for an opening, because it was booked when I originally wanted to go. Booking was quite easy, and Mok was easy to work with as we sorted out the details. We flew in, got our rental car, and then headed out. The directions were flawless, guiding us...

Mok is great! This is our second time here. We came around February two years ago, and now for New Year's Eve weekend. Absolutely lovely accommodations. This time we stayed at the Chalet and loved the privacy with the private balcony. We asked the kids (ages 12 and 14) which trip they wanted to repeat and hands down it was...

We did not know what to expect. Never been to Fairbanks. Never tried to see aurora borealis. We liked Fairbanks. We saw northern lights -- not a foregone conclusion so be ready. Mok, the proprietor could not be nicer or more helpful. Second floor room was well situated for viewing and well equipped for being locked up in subzero weather....
