For a person staying abroad without knowing other people in Boston, this was a great spot. Deane is very warm and welcoming (e.g. giving me a beer after arriving from a nine hour flight), and made my stay so much more agreeable. Whether it was for drinking a glass of wine or complaing about work, I enjoyed having her (and...

I stayed three weeks at Deane's place and really enjoyed the time. The room and the private bathroom are large, clean and comfortable. What makes the place special is Deane's friendly, open-minded hospitality. Being a single-traveller it's important to stay at a place where you feel welcome. Furthermore the neighborhood is pleasant - Kurkman's supermarket, Jamaica Pond, T-stations, a small...

I stayed two months in Brookline at Deane's place. The room was large, clean and comfortable. A private bath is also available (although not located next to the room). Deane was very friendly and gave me a lot of advice that proved helpful for my stay. Overall, I had a very nice stay and I recommend this place.

We did not expect the location to be so convenient and the neighborhood to be so lovely. The pretty street, with Autumn leaves, was a delightful sight in which to walk to the subway...
