I was pleasantly surprised by the location of the Hotel. The Hotel was going through some Parking Area Construction during our stay, but it wasn't too bad. The location was great for walking downtown and checking out the restaurants & pubs (Only a few blocks). The Hotel offers "bicycle's" to ride around on. **Please, be very careful of some of... More

We really enjoyed our time at this hotel. Loved being in the courtyard facing the river. We enjoyed it so much that we booked an extra night. Yes, it does need some TLC, i.e. cobwebs, etc. but we enjoyed the hotel, the staff was very friendly and helpful, and it was a great location.

I let hotels.com rep make my reservation and the what a mistake. Red Lion is old and tired having had its day 35 years ago. The desk chair my husband was sitting in collapsed landing him on his back, head hitting sliding glass door. It is the only chair in the room and no furniture on the private balcony. Why... More

We have stayed here before. A few times. Love the area. Seems very run down. Exit signs hanging, lights out in the hall, rooms not very clean, carpets dirty room and HALLS. Just not what it has been in the past.

After almost two years from last stay here, which btw wasn't all that great, thought I'd give this property another chance.. Sub par front desk staff, goof up on which room assigned..... along with appearance of a worn out hotel overall, conclude my average rating here.. Observed staff befuddled under problem solving scenarios.. Pool area, music too loud... Rooms were... More

This was the first time here and the place is showing it's age. That said, the check in staff was great and the room was a good size and clean. Had a great view of the river. Price was very reasonable. Be careful what discount you use when booking, not all get the free breakfast. AARP and AAA work. As... More

I stayed in this hotel for 3 nights, it was quiet (except from a few jets from the Portland Airport). It has a large pool, but I did not use it. The room was clean and staff were friendly. The staff was friendly and very efficient. The price was excellent and the room was quiet and clean. Easy access to Portland freeways. The Starbucks up the street for early morning coffee is easy to get to and not crowded. All in all, a good experience

The hotel is located right along the banks of the Columbia River. Our room was on the side of the river and it was very relaxing to watch the boats go rolling down the river.
