I have stayed here several times while attending the opening of Kamp Kiwanis for the work weekend. Mary Davis is a gracious hostess, and does a fabulous breakfast. The place is full of angels, and the chapel is still there for anyone who wants to sit and meditate. This is a B&B, so most of the rooms do not have...

This is the second time I stayed at The Convent: Angels Nest Bed & Breakfast. It is the place to stay in Rome NY. Mary Davis is a delight and provides a relaxing and welcoming B&B. She went out of her way to provide breakfast for a relative that lives in Rome, but did not stay at the B&B. She...

Angels Nest has become my Rome-home; I have happily stayed here three times and will continue to do so. Yes, the neighborhood is a little dicey, but that is more about its looks than its reality. I have taken area walks at night and in the early mornings and the only thing that has made me jump have been the...

We had made an early reservation for this B&B in May 2013. We arrived 19 June at the end of afternoon and found nobody home. We also tried the backdoor and found a smashed window as well. Also the neigbourhood did not look very pleasant at all! We then tried to make a phone call but no answer. We had...

Angel's Nest Bed & Breakfast (AKA: Mary Davis B&B, AKA: The Convent: Angel's Nest B&B) is a beautiful tribute to the life and travels of its owner, Mary Odessa Davis, who was an educator in Europe for 34 years. The house is chock-filled with ornate and wonderful treasures from Turkey, mirrors from France, couches from Spain, wall hangings, hand-made rugs,...

I'm of two minds when it comes to writing this review. First, this b&b is AMAZING, and Mary (the owner/proprietress) is a wonderfully gracious hostess! However, I don't want to have to book a room 3 years in advance if this place gets really popular. With that said, Mary deserves the business and I like to see excellent venues succeed,...

Mary is a wonderfull hostess and she makes your feel most welcome in her B&B. During our one night stay, she eagerly shared a bit of her background working around the world for the U.S. Department of Defense. Ten years ago she found the perfect place to display her vast collection of angel figurines and paraphernalia by establishing her B&B...

Actually I was there June 2010, the system wouldn’t let me go back that far. I was there for one night only, on a road trip but I popped back onto TA because I’m hoping to go back in September and wanted to get the email address. Mary is wonderful. The place has “a spirit” about it (nothing to do...

Mary, the owner of this bed and breakfast made up feel very welcome. The rooms were really clean and tidy. Tea and coffee making facilities available and the breakfast was very good - would definitely recommend and if every in the area will stay here.

“All rooms have a desk, bed(s), lamps, sink (remember, this is a former convent. There are two full and fully-stocked bathrooms upstairs, as well), dresser, chair, and a basket of towels, toiletries, etc. Rooms have either a street or yard view. It is a quiet neighborhood.”

“When you call, chances are you will get Mary's answering machine because she is active in many local community groups.. So call early and call again if necessary. This is a special place. It's worth it. For room descrptions and photos, visit her website.”
