I read reviews prior to going here so I knew kind of what to expect. An older couple runs this family business motel, and it is very quaint. Yes, decor is a bit 60's, but it is clean and neat and well-kept. EVERY room has a view of Barkley Lake across the highway (which isn't that busy of a roadway).... More

Super clean Mom and Pop (literally) on a bluff above Lake Barkley. Great view. The walls are a wee bit thin so I could hear my neighbors TV and the traffic noise from 79 was very loud. I always bring ear plugs so had a good night’s sleep in spite of the racket. The beds are pretty basic. No pillow... More

I came from north west Mississippi to spend some time with my son which I haven't seen in a couple years. I arrived in Dover around 4 pm I seen the sign for the motel that read 40 dollars and free WiFi so I stopped there. I have myself and my 3 children with me when I went in the... More

This little Inn is run by an retired husband and wife with a colorful history behind them. I enjoyed talking with the gentleman upon check in. His wife still does a lot for charities, including making dolls to sell and collecting cans for cash to donate. The Inn is small but quaint with a "grandma" feel to it, or at... More

Enjoyed our honeymoon there. Owned by sweet couple. Generous, caring, and good values. Room was clean and felt like home away from home. Location was quiet and ideal for local nearby outdoor activity. Plan to go there again.

Just moved to the area and went to check out the fishing. The motel overlooks one of the public boat launch facilities and has easy access to some great bank fishing. The staff was very friendly and talkative and were attentive to my stay. The rooms were average size and furnished in a quaint style but they were clean and... More

I have been staying here during the week going on four months with my two co workers building a new fire hall. The mayor of Stewart county Rick Joiner, highly recommended us to stay here. During our time, which is on going, we have had no complaints. The rooms are always clean with fresh linens, they're pet friendly, it's quite,... More

Upon my first seeing this 'review' early this morning, I've spent a fair bit of time considering whether, or in what manner, I should actually post a response. The statement is so over the top that it seems to me that the average reader is likely to hold it suspect without my poking my nose in. And so I've decided... More

I had called and made reservation for June 20, 2014 for 3 people. I notice then the guy I was talking to was pretty rude but needed a room so looked over it. I called on the 20th and told him that we were going to be running late. He looked at the book and asked how late? I told... More
