Stayed 2 nights here on our way out of Big Bend National Park. Very friendly staff. Breakfast wasn't hot but there was homemade granola and baked from scratch pastries, hard boiled eggs, cheeses and fruit. Plenty to eat. Really good, bold, smooth, fair trade coffee and we bought some to take home. It's a B&B and guests sit around a...

My wife and I spent a delightful two nights at the Veranda Historic Inn in late March before we drove south to Big Bend National Park. The Inn has historic charm, great breakfasts and an informative and friendly host/owner. Fort Davis was a pleasant surprise with good restaurants, unusual stores and of course McDonald Observatory the the restored fort. All...

Stayed in the Carriage House. Ideal arrangement for us. All the relaxation and independence of self catering but with the added bonus of a great breakfast every morning. Owner very friendly, a really relaxing place to stay.

Had a delightful stay at the Verandah while in town for the McDonald observatory Star party. Enjoyed our breakfast the next day which had a nice balance of protein (cheese, boiled eggs) and homemade goodies (muffins, coffee cake) and fruit. They even packed us goodie bags for the next day for the road with oat meal cookies. Kids enjoyed playing...

We just spent four delightful nights at the Veranda Inn. The Inn is charming and filled with furnishings reminiscent of its early days in the 1880's. Wonderful home-baked breakfast treats each morning. Loved chatting with Dave and Eleanor! Great location to visit local attractions. Eager to return.

My wife and I enjoyed our two night stay at the Veranda. The visit was a respite on our cross country drive. The town and scenery are delightful in their austerity and quaintness. The Observatory and hiking in the Davis Mountains provide just enough to do for a short stay. So much better than a generic hotel on I-10. Dave...

Very comfortable and charming B&B. Rooms are large, tall ceilings, nice amenities, good selection for breakfast. The lobby and its antiques take you back to the 1800's when the Veranda was built. Off the main street, quiet, very restful. The hotel has a great porch for morning coffee and a beautiful view.

This over-100-year structure is wonderfully clean and beautifully appointed. I don't usually take pictures of the motels along our journey, but I did here. The inn and furnishings are antique yet set up in a way to enhance modern travel. We were in Suite 11, which sported an interesting pathway of left here, right here, take a door here, go...

This Bed & Breakfast comes with all the charm and style one might expect from a historic b & b. The room was nice and comfortable. A good strong WiFi signal was also a plus. Very disappointed however to discover the next morning that this bed and breakfast was dropping their home cooked breakfast, opting for a continental style breakfast...

We are glad that you found the inn comfortable. I am sorry that you were disappointed in our breakfast. You are correct that we have stopped serving hot entrees. However, we have found that most guests appreciate more variety in breakfast rather than a "take it or leave" single entree. Our buffet is quite extensive, with boiled eggs, a selection...

Hotel Limpia is nice, but the Veranda is special. How often do you stay in a hotel with thick adobe walls? We stayed in Room 10, which is isolated in one wing with Room 11. The room was quiet and comfortable. Great breakfast.
