It is nice to find a historic hotel that is also clean and comfortable. The Hotel Limpia is such a place. We stayed in the "historic" building, which had modern facilities, was clean and quiet, and a decent price although not a great value. Its association with Fort Davis was a nice connection. Rooms were spacious, and common areas were... More

This historic hotel was such a delight! Our room was upstairs and had the creaky wood floors covered in carpet just as you would expect from an early 1900's hotel. It was very quaint and charming, decorated with furniture from the time period. It was furnished with everything we needed from a nice shower to cable TV. The manager was... More

We stayed in one of the suites that are in a separate building from the main hotel. This was a one bedroom with living room and kitchen. The room looks like it's had a lot of wear and tear. Under the sink the garbage disposal was disconnected but still wired which I'd think is a safety hazard. The whole place... More

I love old historic places and rented a two bedroom suite for 4 adults but was not impressed. I would not recommend this hotel. The historic building and grounds were old, reasonably maintained and nice but everything inside the suite was also old, not maintained, worn-out, in need of replacement from the carpet to the beds. The carpet was coming... More

If you can imagine a hotel built in 1914 with no modern conveniences, then this is it. Looks just like it must have looked when it was first built, wallpaper walls included. It was air conditioned and had indoor plumbing, but that was about it. Floors sagged, no TV. The staff was very friendly but I think we will try... More

Well kept historic hotel. Rooms were clean and adequate. No food available at the hotel and the coffee bar only had powdered creamer. The best thing about the place was Limpia the house cat who was friendly and adorable.

We enjoyed the hotel's location for our itinerary. The property was an easy drive to Davis Mountain State Park, Fort Davis, McDonald Observatory, Alpine, and Marfa. The setting is lovely and we really enjoyed the hotel's courtyard although it is technically part of the restaurant next door. The history and historical touches of the hotel were very interesting and fun.... More

We were lucky. Stayed here while on tour and our "room" turned out to be a three room suite with a fully equipped kitchen, including dishwasher, sitting room with TV, closet, and full bedroom and bath. It was in a separate building from the main hotel, and had to drag our luggage through the gravel drive to get there. The... More

If you are staying here you do it for the historic hotel experience, you do not expect luxury and you will not be disappointed. We stayed in a suite to the right of the restaurant area. The building was old and in need of repairs. The walls a cracking and holes in the wall behind the tub. WIFI was good... More

Three nights during spring break 2016. Limpia West is one of three separate buildings housing the Hotel Limpia. It's the second floor of a storefront building across the street from the historic hotel. Room was dated, but clean and quiet. Bed very comfortable. Service good. Overpriced, but probably not much more than would be expected of a remote tourist town... More
