Only place to stay in the ft davis, alpine, marfa area. Whether you're trying to be close to the McDonald observatory or need a stopover point before heading down to big bend, this updated spot is wonderful. Not too obvious from the outside but this place was totally fixed-up from the ground up several years ago ...they even put in... More

Well...we stayed on the ranch as the folks that own Harvard Hotel also own a ranch. My first disappointment was in realizing our "lodge" was not an individual unit. It was basically a metal building divided into four rooms. Great view but then they didn't even have great lounging on the porch to enjoy those views. The real disappointment was... More

This was our first time to Ft. Davis and the beautiful Davis Mountains. We picked the Harvard Hotel because they were the only ones that would actually answer the phone on the first try! And we are so lucky they did! First of all, we arrived very late and no one was at the front desk, but our room key... More

This hotel was upstairs, above a set of quiet shops. It was very Texas themed, in a lovely way. It reminded me of old tv shows I used to watch. The room was modern and fresh with a mini fridge, microwave and coffee maker. We could walk right out into the Ft. Davis downtown area. Parking was easy, even on... More

We have been to Fort Davis a few times and love the area. Our stay at the Harvard hotel was great. The young lady checking is in Wednesday evening was very courteous and took an interest in insuring our stay was good. The rooms were spacious and very comfortable. We will definitely stay here next time, providing there are vacancies.... More

Stayed only one night at the Harvard Hotel and was pleasantly surprised. We had a room with one king size bed and it had the southwestern motif. The room was very clean and spacious. The bed itself was comfortable enough but just a slight slant in the center of the bed. We did not have one of the rooms with... More

I'm so glad we found the Harvard. It's almost brand new , right on the Main Street and the most comfortable place we've stayed in a long time. Huge room, western decor Room for a leather loveseat, king size bed , kitchen amenities, and a great big clean bathroom. Small balcony too. This hotel has an elevator which is unusual... More

We stayed here for a week while filming at Sproul Ranch. The hotel is lovely - huge beds, very clean rooms and everything you need. Great decor - really Texan and rustic, but modern and comfortable also. They've got everything right for a good stay. The staff are very accommodating and helped us with our numerous requests. It's a small,... More
