We were fortunate enough to make our reservation in April for a room at Indian Lodge on Christmas eve and day. What a lovely spot. Our room was in the original section of the hotel. It was bright, clean, comfortable and quiet. Such attention to detail. The reception staff was helpful and friendly and attentive. Miracle on 34th St was...

The cool thing about Rm.111 is that it has doors that open to the courtyard as well as the back patio. With both doors open, the cool breeze is awesome! The downside of any room that has an upstairs neighbor is that every footstep above is amplified beyond any reasonable comfort level you could imagine. Would just as soon stay...

Breathtakingly beautiful surroundings envelop the historic CCC lodge. The mountains provide a backdrop for a serene and relaxing stay. The lodge itself is beautiful. Updated and modern, yet still holding on to the rustic charm that was instilled in it when first built. While the weather definitely kept me from exploring as much as I would have liked, I still...

We couldn't wait to get there, and were not disappointed when we arrived. It is really set beautifully in the Davis Mountains. We started off with a King bed in room 112 but had to move because there was a bit of a mildew smell in the room. It was immaculate and we loved it....hated to move. George helped us...

This is a beautiful lodgel, in an incredible location, a state park with beautiful views. The motel itself was built back in the thirties and is white stucco, large rooms , wooden beams and multi level design. The office staff was friendly and helpful. BUT , the motel has not been maintained very well. Our beds were sloped from too...

We had a mixed experience at the Lodge. The location is very nice, inside Davis Mountain State Park. Within minutes, there are lovely scenic viewpoints that were fantastic at sunrise. The lodge itself is picturesque. From historical photos, it seemed to have previously been adobe colored. It is now painted white, which doesn't look so great, especially because of the...

The views don't get any better in Ft. Davis! This historic adobe lodge is nestled in the Davis Mountains State Park, and is a real gem. The staff are VERY friendly and the rooms are perfectly adequate. They aren't fancy, just a basic room with decent beds and an old TV. But who needs luxury and flat screens and fancy...

Booked a 3 day visit to the historical lodge for a romantic getaway. If you need phone service and reliable wifi this is not your place. But if you like peace and quiet in beautiful surroundings (with a little preparation) this is a great place to stay. Rooms neat and clean, staff excellent. Would have given 5 stars except that...

First, the good: Indian Lodge is a gorgeous old adobe lodge built in the 1930's by the CCC. There is also a newer portion that consists of small motel type rooms, as well as a pool and the Black Bear restaurant. The place is simply beautiful and the scenery is amazing. The room we stayed in, in the older section...

We really enjoyed our stay at Indian Lodge. The location was wonderful and the room was very comfortable. We stayed here while traveling from Big Bend NP to Carlsbad. It was the perfect stop over. The restaurant was only fair, but that was a minor issue compared to the good things about the lodge. I would certainly return if in...
