My girlfriend and I ended up staying here after booking for a (relatively) last minute trip (to attend a star party at McDonald Observatory(which was great!)). After a swim in Balmorhea, we headed to Fort Davis to check in. The (assumed) owner was very nice, and had a very dry whit (that I greatly appreciated). We were in room #1,...

Excellent price for Fort Davis. Very quiet. The room was cozy; ample room space but closet and bathroom are very tight. Check-in was fast and friendly. The room was clean but the baseboards and rug could use some attention. Wifi cut in and out but any wifi is welcome when you don't even have a phone signal (T Mobile).

We stayed recently at the Stone Valley Tourist Camp and enjoyed it immensely! The rooms are tastefully decorated and every 3rd room, is a camp room. The regular rooms have all the amenities you'd expect in normal hotel rooms but the camp rooms are bare bone rooms and they share a community type restroom and shower. There is a market...

What a delightful stay at this adorable charming hotel. We stayed in room 5 and it was a lovely experience. Food next door at the Market was good with friendly helpful staff. The owner, Randall was attentive and welcoming - He is proud of his property as well he should be. The room had everything needed for a pleasant and...

It seems I keep looking for reasons, finding excuses to return to one of the camp rooms. So cozy and comfortable, with a fire in the courtyard on cool or chilly evenings, and a fabulous pool on warm days, can't be beat!!!

Loved everything about this quaint, charming place. Out of our 8 day West TX road trip, this place was by far our favorite! We stayed in room number 4, which was so cozy and clean! Loved the wood floors and the decor of the room. When we checked in, we were greeted kindly and given suggestions of places to eat....

I booked a queen room at the Stone Village Tourist Camp. Everything was superb from the moment I checked in. The owner even let me park my car there for 2 days while I was off horse riding! The bed was so comfortable, I had the best night's sleep! (I was also tired from 9+ hours of driving so that...

This was our 4th stay and the staff always make you feel welcome and are very helpful. The rooms are spotlessly clean, the beds very comfortable, the small grounds lovely, even though they are on the main drag thru town. The grocery and deli next door has excellent breakfast tacos, great chicken salad, and wholesome sandwiches made to order. We...

We stayed here two nights while we explored the surrounding area - Alpine, Marfa, and the McDonald Observatory. We had a camp room and loved it. There is no AC because it is not needed, and the nights are very quiet. The beds were comfortable and the room was really clean. The market was the highlight of our stay. Paul,...
